I wonder if the government is suddenly realising what a waste of time and money it is for the CPS and every council in the country to start withdrawing all their materials which have been based on Stonewall advice and therefore a misrepresentation of the law.

I think (hope) you are nearest the mark. When the govt carried out its consultation on reform of the GRC, it had thousands and thousands of responses that were identical, copied and pasted from the Stonewall website. That goes well outside Stonewall's remit as a charity.

Secondly, we all know - and the government will have been made aware - that Stonewall has been going into public sector organisations such as the police, NHS trusts, schools etc and lying about the law, as well as providing some extremely dodgy advice.

So what I'm hoping is that in the process of making a decision about whether or not to reform the GRA, the government has decided it really needs to clamp down on Stonewall's activities and is about to take measures to do so, maybe either relating to its charitable status or its funding. I don't know. These are just guesses.

Santa is the ultimate wokebeard, what with his lists of naughty and nice and thinking the rules of nature don't apply to him as he messes with time on Christmas Eve. Definitely needs taking down a peg or two.

When I read that, I got the impression that there were reviews going about the long term effects of the drugs. The first para seemed to be political speak - we're not doing anything at the moment, rather than a categorical 'we wont be making any changes at all'

Perhaps I misunderstood, read it all and more nuanced as it went on.

He's been one of the quiet people who changed the LGB world and should be more widely recognised. We need people like him in the House of Lords, not Ruth Hunt. Thrilled to see the response from Tom Sutcliffe confirming that Tom is GC. He's been quietly sticking his oar in on Saturday Review for the last few years, giving young woke commentators and any mention of identity politics very short shrift.

The Government has no current plans to change access to care or services for people under the age of 18 displaying gender dysphoria and wishing to transition to a non-natal sex.

The Government appears to think that people can change sex.
