InsertHilariousUserName · 24/07/2020 10:51

@emmathedilemma

nor me *@RhapsodyandAshe* ! It's like one of those conversations when they start talking about Love Island in the office.....
Grin and you sit there smiling and nodding but have no idea what the hell is going on. And everyone is so busy saying what they know they cant be bothered to stop and explain and will then say go and google
Floisme · 24/07/2020 10:53

It's taken me two hours to think of an organisation beginning with 'S' Blush

WhatAWonderfulDay · 24/07/2020 10:56

Oooh! Interesting!!

slashlover · 24/07/2020 11:00

Just searched twitter as I also had no idea. Apparently WeAreFairCop are tweeting about Stonewall.

Although the Who to Follow on that account are TransgenderTrend, LGB Alliance and Safe Schools Alliance. The first two are well known as being anti-trans so I'm out.

ThePurported · 24/07/2020 11:03

I think it's Spar. Am I right?
Have I got time to go to the loo?

Needmoresleep · 24/07/2020 11:04

Sheldon Mills is the new Chair of Stonewall. Nancy Kelly is the new Chief Executive. Appointed April 20 and May 20 respectively.

Time for a change in approach?

I have no clue either Beardy I only clicked this because it was on Trending and I'm Confused

ErrolTheDragon · 24/07/2020 11:05

Apparently WeAreFairCop are tweeting about Stonewall.

They're not a red organisation though - they're red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple though mostly pink and pale blue nowadays.

ThePurported · 24/07/2020 11:06

Nancy Kelly has been disappointing so far.

Mydogisthebestest · 24/07/2020 11:06

Any chance of an explanation? I’ve no clue what this is about.

Xenia · 24/07/2020 11:07

Red might imply Labour party rather than Stonewall - but it sounds like a trans question, if it's anything at all.

If the Labour party agreed to leave England's gender change laws alone that would be a good start or I suppose for Tories like I am who want Labour to be away with the fairies and never get elected a bad start.....

slashlover · 24/07/2020 11:08

They're not a red organisation though - they're red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple though mostly pink and pale blue nowadays.

Not sure if you're trying to be funny but their logo is red.

What is "anti trans", exactly? Can you expand on that statement, please?
Goldistheanswer · 24/07/2020 11:09

SarahTancredi · 24/07/2020 11:10

What is anti trans about recognising same sex attraction and advocating fir NHS approved watchful waiting approach slash

slashlover · 24/07/2020 11:13

twitter.com/WeAreFairCop/status/1286260984202526721

Here's the tweet in question.

NotBadConsidering · 24/07/2020 11:14

If same sex attraction = anti-trans, then trans = homophobia.

DialSquare · 24/07/2020 11:21

I'm sure I read somewhere that trans people with same sex attraction can be members of the LGB alliance. If so, how can they be anti Trans?

FreezerBird · 24/07/2020 11:23

As an aside while we wait , @FloralBunting...

It's not really David and Goliath. It's a bit more like Jael and Sisera.

I've always said that when I'm In Charge, if publishers still insist on producing bibles marketed 'for women' they will, by law, have to have Jael on the cover.

As you were.

Thisismytimetoshine · 24/07/2020 11:26

@slashlover

The tweet wasn't actually in question, slashlover We've seen it. Your assertion that those organisations are "anti trans" needs some clarification, though?
MsMarvellous · 24/07/2020 11:30

Saw that last night. Trying not to get hopes up.

Melroses · 24/07/2020 11:31

@CillaTape

Yeah, what's that about then?

Also just seen the tweet from the MP about belief and reality, its literally the most ironic thing I have EVER SEEN.

Is it anything like the one that says debate is a fetish?
Katinski · 24/07/2020 11:33

And there I was, thinking it was about Alfie Moore who does that It's A Fair Cop r4 programme.Sad

Is it wine time yet?WineGrin

FloralBunting · 24/07/2020 11:33

Freezer, I've wondered about a t-shirt with a symbolic tent peg on it before, but it's probably a touch too violent for my ethics. But I do like the positioning of a courageous woman defeating her oppressor by catching him off guard. It's how we roll.
