Love happydappy’s list. Would also add there needs to be a refresh of correct terminology with commercial organisations as well as public sector. So many companies include gender as protected rather than sex, this is likely to be a massive task to push back.

I'd got them mixed up too. Wondered why I was so confused. Think this should be clean and clear. No other issues just getting back women's rights, righting this wrong, cleaning up

The petition signing has slowed right down. They still need signatures.

I am sure that one of the reasons we are where we are is because women find it very hard to get organised. A petition like this is so simple and numbers matter.

If this is the best we can do, we are going to get trampled on, no matter what the law says..

Where is the petition? Can somebody link please? I've just deleted my twitter account because it was getting way too extreme & I've realised I will make zero progress on it. I need to stick to official campaigning etc I think.

She's worked with JK Rowling - I'm pretty sure they established Lumos together - and Rowling donated a million pounds to Labour in 2008.

That's what I think she is referring to and that's why I've emailed, asking to join.

Yes, this^^ We have de facto self-id in this country with all large organisations and institutions rushing to throw women under the bus to prove their stonewall credentials. Whilst access to changing rooms, toilets along with positions intended for women and girls etc open to all who identify we have self-id in place through the back door as though it is legally acceptable. I think there needs to be a concerted effort to back track on this position. I'm in.

I get so angry when I read stuff like this. I wondered why there were so many transwomen in positions where they could install their agenda. This has been a serious, long term plan

I don't think it is against Mumsnet rules to post a link in a thread when there is mention of a Petition as an aside, ie. as opposed to posting a thread that is just about a petition.

If it is against the Rules then I am sure some sneaky lurker will report it to the Mods and they will delete the post anyway
