Is it really that strange that it's not being reported on? He's an ex Scottish MP of no importance, not even in the governing party.

It's very strange behaviour from her, especially if she has a child under 18 (how is it possible for her to stay with him and the child?) and is generally so judgemental of anyone who falls short, but I think it's clear that she's a fairly damaged person and it wasn't her who committed this crime.

Oh good. I have also seen that there is a change.org petition but I think it would be more effective to actually request the review. It does say some child sex offences so his might not be considered bad enough. We can but try.

I thought courts nowadays didn't see alcohol as a mitigating factor....it's inexcusable he can hide behind his wife & blame alcohol. How can he still be allowed access to social media? It just makes no sense to me.

It's a rule which is there for a good reason and many workplaces have it. Why she thinks McDonald's was in the wrong or why their ex-employee employee deserves sympathy escapes me.

Is she? His defence was he has the love of a good woman.

So far as keeping the day job- how much does a columnist get paid? I wouldn't place her in the celebrity league of "like em or loathe em" of say Rod Liddle, Clarkson, Richard Littlejohn and in her day Julie Burchill who earn big money.

I'd assume IK's very comfortable lifestyle is funded by private family money rather than her writing.
