On another note, I just ventured onto cracked.com for the first time in years after following a link. Out of curiosity, I searched for JK Rowling, found the inevitable transphobia article, and was enormously relieved to see that the commenters were having none of it.

That's another thing, surely it's only a matter if time before 'people who menstruate' is transphobic and exclusionary, as transwomen don't/can't menstruate?

There is just no reasoning with some. This tweet sums it up for me. I think a GSCE course on biology that than a MA would have been time better spent.

I haven’t read Cracked in years because they ran an article with a trans widow where the husband was a total wanker but the tone was all “she has to be what she has to be” and I thought, yeah, I see your take on this. Man dumps kids on woman and runs off for a more sparkly life and she’s having to chose her words carefully as he’s the one who needs support. Sure thing, brah.
