Not all feminists agree with each other on all subjects. Some of them have actively fallen out over some things and perhaps have behaved in a less than stellar fashion. That would be just typical of people in general, wouldn't it?
Don't bother trying to unpack the squabbles, just assess what them on their own merits. They all say many wise and perceptive things, as well as a few daft and occasionally unkind things. Just like real people do.
This.
I have enormous respect for a lot of people who happen to loathe one another, in my own life. Isn't that normal? People don't always get on. Sometimes they fundamentally disagree. The shared beliefs aren't really relevant.
My understanding is that Posie Parker will talk to pretty much anyone who will give her a platform, and frankly, she's the reason we have a voice now, because when she began, the left sure as hell weren't willing to platform us. They were full throttle #nodebate. She's one of the people who crashed through that by refusing to accept that decree, and saying in effect: okay, you won't let me talk? I'll go to whoever will.
I note that various TRAs are happy to write pieces for all manner of right-wing papers, and when they do, everyone falls over themselves to praise their willingness to educate. The double standards, yet again, and demand for purity in gender critical women while demonising and silencing us is as abusive. People who threaten to rape and kill us then have the utter gall to purse lips and tut when our activism doesn't suit them. And by, "doesn't suit them" they mean, "is too successful".
They say JK Rowling is racist, too, by the way. And homophobic. Because goblins being gold-hoarding bankers is an anti-Semitic trope. Weird, given it's a standard fantasy trope, but since when did facts bother that lot? They even deny biological reality: denying facts is a specialist area.
