Oh

Mollyollydolly · 28/06/2020 18:56

She's so dignified. Sometime I resort to get in the bin gifs. She is everything they are not and they hate her for it. I couldn't love, admire and respect her anymore.

callmeadoctor · 28/06/2020 18:56

Twitter is so bloody hard to understand, who said what to who etc. Had a look, still can't work it out.......................

SulisMinerva · 28/06/2020 18:57

She is an amazing woman. I’m so glad she got so many messages of support to help counter the hate.

Datun · 28/06/2020 19:00

Starmer must realise that no one will ever take that man seriously again.

He will forever be known as the colossally misogynistic and foot shootingly stupid bastard who told a sexual assault victim that she was leveraging their own assault to deliberately exclude men who might assault her again.

Thank God for a woman who's got the power to tell them to shove it up their arse.

RoyalCorgi · 28/06/2020 19:00

She is one of the Labour Party’s biggest individual donors .

She donated £1m in 2008. I wonder if she's donated anything recently? The idea of that little twerp Russell-Moyle insulting one of his own party's biggest backers is particularly hilarious.

SusieOwl4 · 28/06/2020 19:01

@callmeadoctor

Glad I am not the only one . I am on it but just don’t get it at all.

TheLurkingOne · 28/06/2020 19:03

Wow. She's truly great and good.

His misogyny is worth more to him than absolutely anything else.

Much as I love Glinner, I think it's an elegant, poised voice like JKR that can make people listen. The problem when everyone throws stones is that it makes people tune out. And for many women who haven't taken the time to tune in yet, it's such a pity that the message is being lost. For me (and I've learned most from mumsnet), my take is that I have nothing against trans women finding their place, but let's just make sure they don't disadvantage women any further in doing so.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 28/06/2020 19:09

Class.

I'd vote for her.

Whysomanyexcuses · 28/06/2020 19:11

JKR speaks - she is not scared of the abuse, the hate and the threats she is getting.

What a brave woman

Thanks

littlbrowndog · 28/06/2020 19:13

Twitter. Go on it and start following people.

Then they will come up on your feed.

If you like a tweet click on it and watch the thread

The wee hut on left hanside is your home 🏠

Once you start following people twitter will give you suggestions.

littlbrowndog · 28/06/2020 19:14

Oooh forgot to stay.

Awesome from jo

The thread is just full of women 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Any beard just gets dismissed with one word

JemimaShore · 28/06/2020 19:15

Stephen King has indeed retweeted her! I think he'd prove too big to cancel too....

Impatiens · 28/06/2020 19:16

The first time I saw R-M (can't remember what the discussion was) I thought - 'who does this arrogant, ignorant arsehole think he is?'

I suppose it's too soon after RLB to boot him but he should be made to grovel apologise properly to JKR and Starmer should publicly rebuke him (then boot him when no one's looking)

Justhadathought · 28/06/2020 19:18

Just when you thought she couldn’t get more awesome

That's the thing isn't it? When you've been brave enough to out your true views and feelings about something, and as a result been subject to the most horrendous abuse from multiple anonymous on-line personas ( & survived) you can only become even more emboldened, and clearer in your articulation of the issue. You grow an even bigger pair.

PrimalLass · 28/06/2020 19:20

@teaandtoast123

I wonder how Daniel and Emma will respond to this one. I hope they have the decency to feel some embarrassment.
And Jameela and Nicola Coughlan. They can feck off.
LouHotel · 28/06/2020 19:20

Stephen king and jk rowling have a friendship, I'm not surprised he's supported.

TheSingingKettle49 · 28/06/2020 19:23

I’ve emailed Keir to urge him to show women that the Labour Party won’t ignore misogyny the same way he’s shown it won’t accept anti-semitsm. Women are 50% of the population, if you’re not with us you’re against us!

callmeadoctor · 28/06/2020 19:24

But how does what you tweet to someone else get on there? (does it?). Do your tweets show up? Can you see what someone tweets who doesn't follow you (so many questions). I have been on twitter, maybe need a book or something. Is there an online learning video or something? (come to think of it, I don't really understand instagram either!!!! I DO understand Facebook and Mumsnet though......................) Im maybe just old.............

AngryBananaSund · 28/06/2020 19:24

^this^

The whole RLM exchange comes across as a very patient teacher explaining why it’s wrong to eat the glue

Alsohuman · 28/06/2020 19:25

She’s completely awesome. Her place in the feminist hall of fame is assured.

Pepperwort · 28/06/2020 19:25

Hear hear op. If the only solution Labour and the left can come up with - when half of England's land area is owned by 1% of the population and the top 10% owns as much as the lowest 55% - is that women should shut up about the abuse they suffer from men and get back to being servants, I will have to start voting Tory.

JellyfishandShells · 28/06/2020 19:26

When so-called leftists like @ lloydrm demand that we give up our hard won sex-based rights, they align themselves squarely with men’s rights activists. To both groups, female trauma is white noise, an irrelevance or else exaggerated or invented

So clear, so true,
