Just seen this on Twitter.

For those who like their Ginger Shampoo, can I suggest MooGoo.

Also, Aveeno is a good replacement for their Shea butter.

Other thoughts welcome. Feel free to suggest other ideas.

Protest about the deleted petition (on the bodyshop tweet ):

My local shopping centre has just reopened and I don't want to just walk past The Body Shop fuming and doing nothing about it.

I was thinking about stickers or something a la "stickerwoman" but for the Body Shop specifically: we could either stick them on body shop products or on the shop window?

Or what about returning used Body Shop containers en mass pre-stickered with "Women NOT menstruators" on them? They can just recycle them and it will be a visible show of all the customers they've lost?

I think I may have 1 body shop body butter (frikin expensive) that I will happily empty out to use for protest purposes. (That sounds like a weird inverse version of a dirty protest, where I smear raspberry scented delight all over the shop, but I swear I won't)

Does anyone have any ideas?

SerenityNowwwww · 26/06/2020 16:32

Sadly i have about 3 bottles of their perfume on the go (one unopened) and I hate to throw things out. I’ll probably give the packages one to a charity shop and use the rest to mothproof my wardrobe.

The Stickerwoman has been busy again (so I see on twitter). Body shop does need its own special version.

Ragtime69 · 26/06/2020 16:37

What does drop the p mean? serious question

JemimaShore · 26/06/2020 17:25

I don't think anyone knows, Ragtime - if anyone does, please enlighten us!

SerenityNowwwww · 26/06/2020 19:56

Where it is used?

SisyphusAndTheRockOfUntidiness · 26/06/2020 20:03

I am up for returning empty BS products as described above. I only have a few but, as the saying goes, every little helps. I am certainly not buying any more, ever.

JemimaShore · 26/06/2020 20:32

"Drop the P" appears to be part of a Campaign that TBS backed.

And it was printed on the bag apparently sent to JK Rowling - to re-educate her that women should be called menstruators Confused Also on the bag was "It's Bloody Natural" - well, as I said before, women are well aware of that, seeing as we are the ones who have them.

I'm still none the wiser as to what it means - despite googling it.

SerenityNowwwww · 26/06/2020 20:33

‘Drop the BS’ would work on two levels.

JemimaShore · 26/06/2020 20:42

Drop the BS would work for me! And how about - stop fucking about with period poverty campaigns to psh the fucking trans agenda? Thanks so much.

Only women menstruate.

SisyphusAndTheRockOfUntidiness · 26/06/2020 20:50

We need to get this on Twitter.

Xanthangum · 30/06/2020 17:24

That tweet made me laugh. Well done Rob.

Awning10 · 30/06/2020 18:59

DP went in today and had a conversation. I told him to boycott but he will only use their shower gel. The shop assistant said it was about fairness. He said it was sexist for a big bloke like him to put on a dress and encroach on female only spaces. Shop assistant couldn't disagree.

SunsetBeetch · 04/11/2020 09:55

Hi. Sorry to bump an old thread, but Ive just watched a very compelling expose in The Body Shop. Seems they have lied about a lot of things, including their origin. Take a look if it interests you, and you need any more reasons to avoid their products.

SunsetBeetch · 04/11/2020 09:56

Grrr sorry about crap typing
