My own view, but I find that attaching labels to all and sundry is simplistic. I can think of men who happily work for a woman boss, who happily share childcare, and housework with their female partners, and who happily see that partnership as a union where both have different, equally valued, skills.
They get on fine with other men, talking sport, and politics and whatever. And have no problem with what other people, male or female, do in the privacy of their bedrooms. But they do find male flamboyance disturbing. But know enough to accept people are different and not to judge.
Women instead see men wanting to self ID into their spaces as threats.
I would guess that the same may exist amongst women. Especially the cool girls who appear to be uncomfortable with those who present in a more masculine way.
My impression that many men can relate to the free speech issues. They don’t have a problem but clearly women do. So women should be allowed to express their views. I think that is where people like James Kirkuk and Douglas Murray come from.
I am not defending men. But a bit like women being labelled terms or homophobes, or labelling all white people racists, labelling all men as misogynists is not helpful. People are not perfect, but most strive to be good.
