Men pushing in in queues and not social distancing.

I know in the scheme of things this is only small but its the bloody entitlement that gets to me.

When the new Coronavirus Bill came in last Thursday two men used the 2 m gap to try to push in front while i was queuing outside Tesco.

Re, social distancing , i try i really try to stay 2m from people at all times on the rare occasions but the amount of men who walk right next to me or towards me KNOWING that i will move.

This afternoon was the final straw Queuing outside Sainsburys observing the 2 m rule i had to wait until the queue moved to where the trolleys were . There was no way i could get to them BEFORE queuing and observe the 2m rule so i had to wait in the queue before i got to them. I leant across to put my pound in the slot and the FOUR men queuing behind me jumped the queue by moving along in front.

Im so fed up with the entitlement Every time its been a man EVERY TIME. Ive not seen this from women at all .

I think if one has a post deleted its generally one's own fault for breaking the talk guidelines, rather than the fault of whoever reported it isn't it

Is that what you think is it?

Perhaps you are not aware that this is not a pre-moderated forum, but one reliant in reporting - and as such is manipulated, no end, by those with grievances.

i assume my post was reported because it contained the word 'bitchy'....as a negative and injurious slur? However, ir was used to describe the actual nasty, spiteful behaviour that some people ( in this case females) can be guilty of.

I'm actually incredibly sensitive to the word 'bitch', in general - it provokes strong reactions in me - certainly when used as a generalised hate expression. And certainly when men use it in such a way. But even women using it in such a way provokes strong feelings.

But " bitchy'.... in the everyday sense of the word - is the most appropriate, and easy to hand, term for nasty, catty, sarcastic, behaviour.

Drag queens ( & certain gay male humour/behaviour) I find, are often the archetype of the negative female shadow...displaying a lot of what is most unpleasant in female behaviour...which is a lot of the reason I dislike drag so much.

Yeah we know...

That is a quite spectacularly silly argument. This thread is bizarre.

Justhadathought · 08/04/2020 22:33

I'm guessing it was the violation of talk guidelines regarding personal attacks

I didn't make any personal attacks. It is not, generally, my style.

Justhadathought · 08/04/2020 22:35

Rude and dismissive as ever...it would seem.

FloralBunting · 08/04/2020 22:36

Just, seriously, if you think it is an unfair deletion, talk to MNHQ. They may reinstate.

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 08/04/2020 22:38

No personal attacks
No posts that break the law
No trolling, misleading or deliberately inflammatory behaviour
No trollhunting
No spamming

Sometimes its just not in the spirit or goady

But yeah as floral said just ask them

TinselAngel · 08/04/2020 22:38

No I am aware, I've been here for a while.

I've had an entire thread that I started deleted because too many posts were deemed to breached guidelines.

TheBewildernessisWeetabix · 08/04/2020 22:40

That has become an ever more popular method of silencing lately, it seems to me.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 08/04/2020 22:44

There also seems to be a thread (not so much on this board, AIBU and coronavirus) of OP is embarrassed or annoyed that thread didn't go the way they were hoping, has thread pulled.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 08/04/2020 22:44

Or a trend, even.

Datun · 08/04/2020 22:45

if you want to know why you were deleted, just, ask HQ. There is no need to speculate. There is no need to decide that bitch is wrong but bitchy is fine.

TinselAngel · 08/04/2020 22:45

Mine was a couple of years ago but I don't hold a grudge, oh no not I.

I’m angry and upset. I’m caring for my two elderly, vulnerable parents during this time. On a remote, open walk with them just now, a jogger came up from behind fast, I heard him and turned to see if I needed to warn my my parents to move. 1/3

Within a split second, he jogged right past me, inches away, and panted hot, wet breath right into my face. I’ve been so very careful with social distancing for the sake of my parents and now, one selfish man has ruined weeks of effort. 2/3

Why does this man think he’s exempt from social distancing rules? How dare he risk my health and more importantly heighten the risk of me bringing coronavirus into my parents’ home? Of course it’s only some joggers doing this, but if you’re one of them, PLEASE STOP. 3/3.

He clearly didn’t want to slow down or veer from his route. Like his training was the most important thing. I didn’t breathe all over him but I literally felt his wet breath in my face and mouth.

Kate I feel your pain and I’m sorry for the risk to your family. I went training on the Southbank today carefully 2 m away from all a jogger did exactly the same thing. I pulled him up about it he told me I ‘was in the way’ 3rd time this week all middle class white men

Sorry I meant to add a Confused

TheHumansAreDefinitelyDead · 09/04/2020 07:11

Yeah it is mostly men where I live, who are completely oblivious to distancing (reaching across me in supermarket, so close they actually brush past me etc.)

But that is nothing new

Walk down a busy street at any time (before or during virus) and many men will not move out of the way for women

Some men do, but lots won’t

HorseRadishFemish · 09/04/2020 09:22

That thing where some men empty the contents of nostrils, I've heard it referred to as a dustman's blow, a farmer's blow and hilariously(?) a snot-rocket.

Yeah?

Just put that there so that Dido 'n' Hooves can have the opportunity to say that they have only seen women perform this charming and not unsexy act.

HorseRadishFemish · 09/04/2020 09:23

I'd go and see that double act.

TinselAngel · 09/04/2020 09:35

Male footballers do that. I don't now if female footballers do it but I suspect not. Envy(not envy)

DidoLamenting · 09/04/2020 11:30

You really are quite boring HorseRadishFemish and I have a mental picture of you as being 15. I don't know anyone who behaves in the way you describe. I guess I keep better company than you.

I've answered this but for future reference I won't be reading any posts by you.

DidoLamenting · 09/04/2020 11:32

Oh and btw the first person to be charged with a breach of The Coronavirus Act 2020 was a woman called Samantha Dobbs. Police were called repeatedly to break up a party at her house.

Gronky · 09/04/2020 12:15

Proof that the police are unfairly victimising women. Halo

HorseRadishFemish · 09/04/2020 13:26

Yeah, all my family do it.

TinselAngel · 09/04/2020 14:10

Just for balance, HorseRadishFemish I think you're great.
