So the accusations of profiteering on the basis of holding the moral high ground seem to have substance.

I agree I'm all for lockdown and it should have came sooner than it did in the UK, but I saw bread, milk, eggs and meat declared as non essentials. With shelves emptying of rice, pasta or potatoes, I'd love to see a typical weeks meals from those posters.

A bloke on our local FB proudly posted about taking a gardener to task about still working. Said gardener cannot do his job from home, doesn’t go into people’s houses and brings all his own stuff. So I really don’t see what he’s done wrong. But the amount of people interpreting the guidance in its strictest possible form and using that as a bat to beat anyone who leaves their house with is high.

fascinating as this ripped through my local craft group and actually TRA stuff came up at the same time I actually left mine for about 3 months then the SJW left and I went back. I was gobsmacked to see how one person harrassed Nathan. I shut my instagram account down and even though I'm back on it under a different name I've followed very few crafty people

OMG I didn't realise it was one person who stirred that s**t against Nathan Taylor, the Sockmatician!.
There were so many woke ppl piling up on him he ended up having mental break down poor bloke! & thinks for the heads up ab that new Insta account.

The whole situation back then put me off Insta personalities for good because it was all very unpleasant.

indeed have just tried to follow that person as they are private... but its bloody outrageous ... one person ONE person but also all the fellow travellers who joined in. There are very few people I will follow in the knitty world as a result. The pile on against Kate Davies was outrageous.

I didn't do to that yarn festival in Birmingham where this alleged attack by Nathan happened. I was surprised that nobody who was a witness came in support to either.
