Met Police officer videos toilets at work for Mermaids

She's only been on Twitter for less than two weeks - she also says she's a women's coordinator for the Met - but her timeline is all pro trans tweets including praise for Peter Tatchell, support for 'rainbow crossings' and made up stats that '89% of trans people have considered suicide in the last year(!)'.

But most disturbingly, she's made various videos, seemingly for Mermaids as she's tagged them into her posts, of the men's and women's toilets where she works. She's said the point of these videos is to show what's in the toilets so trans people can feel included - THIS IS NOT WHAT A POLICE OFFICER SHOULD BE DOING.

I did say to be careful what you click.
Surely tagging #chemsex on Twitter in capacity as police offiver should be a disciplinary issue let alone the other stuff.

It links directly to hardcore porn.

I know someone who was heavily into the London gay scene. He claims it has got a lot darker over the past decade or so. Lots more casual hook ups and loads of drugs. Plenty of casualties. He was, effectively, one and needed to leave London to get away from the life style.

My instinct is that at the root of all if this is a vein of international sexual libertarianism, adopted, not least, by some very affluent people. Women have fought the transgender elements, wanting to protect vulnerable women and children. The Mail, bless 'em, have doggedly pursued Jeffrey Epstein/Prince Andrew story. (It was they who first located the witness living in a remote Austrational town. There is still the huge question of where all the money come from, and why the US authorities are not moving fast. I suspect the Mail knows the answer.) Whilst it remains all fun down at Pride, even though early Stonewall campaigners may have real misgivings. I wonder if young gay men are just as vulnerable as female ROGD teenagers and equally sold the line that behaviors are normal and indeed brave.

There seem to be a lot of unsavory characters around.

Judging from this, the police don't seem to care, even if the drugs are illegal.

Well - my sister was (still is I guess) on the scene from 30 years back but the stories I hear from friends who are in it now (men - I think they are a bit more ‘adventurous’ anyway) it sounds pretty seedy.

Thanks for giving a shit doobigetta. Hope that young chap got home safe.

Hardly Surprising that younger and younger people are getting involved with risky sexual activities and fringe lifestyles when even the popo are using hashtags for hardcore porn.

when even the popo are using hashtags for hardcore porn

Yep. Although UK police are a long way from the Texas po po.....

Just seen this... so now everyone knows the layout of the “quieter” facilities at Hendon. Wonder if her force have acknowledged any potential security risks given she’s filming inside private (aka no public allowed) areas of a police station.

Lordfrontpaw · 24/02/2020 15:07

I really thought you couldn't record inside a police station (let alone a loo)

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/02/2020 15:17

It's not a police station, I don't think. Hendon is police training establishment.

Needmoresleep · 24/02/2020 15:20

Terrorism threat all the same?

Are layouts of police stations covered under the. Official Secrets Act. I would have assumed that this information was at minimum Categorised as Restricted.

TBH the WPC sounds Barking rather than Hendon.

Mockersisrightasusual · 24/02/2020 15:21

Hendon is the Police College, it's Plod Sandhurst.

(Not a terror target at all. )

Lordamighty · 24/02/2020 15:34

So instead of protecting women’s spaces the police are now giving guided tours of the Ladies loos, with helpful commentary about where to get your bits out?
Beyond parody.
