Met Police officer videos toilets at work for Mermaids

She's only been on Twitter for less than two weeks - she also says she's a women's coordinator for the Met - but her timeline is all pro trans tweets including praise for Peter Tatchell, support for 'rainbow crossings' and made up stats that '89% of trans people have considered suicide in the last year(!)'.

But most disturbingly, she's made various videos, seemingly for Mermaids as she's tagged them into her posts, of the men's and women's toilets where she works. She's said the point of these videos is to show what's in the toilets so trans people can feel included - THIS IS NOT WHAT A POLICE OFFICER SHOULD BE DOING.

Does social media literally damage people's brains? I ask that question non-facetiously, I've been wondering about it for a while now.

She's a police officer, yet the guidance about being impartial has completely passed her by - because she doesn't appreciate that she's involved in a political movement. Just look at her puppy like adoration at that no doubt hugely expensive and powerful met LGBT conference. I wonder how much that cost in terms of £££ and police time? But with that level of power and influence it's not surprising that police officers think that anything is acceptable if it has the rainbow glitter attached. And when they laud the likes of Tatchell (with his views on adults having sex with children) what else are they failing to see?

Is she doing this whilst on duty? If so what a complete waste of tax payers money. WTF is actually going on here?

@Chiochan - the above actually felt like a slap in the face. You are 100% correct, it is exactly like watching an abusive dynamic. Which makes me feel horrifically guilty, because my overriding thoughts are to keep silent to keep myself safe, and to question why the fuck she's going along with it... and those are really not thoughts of which I am proud, particularly now that I am viewing it in those terms.

She seems to be based in Hendon where police training takes place for the MET. I think complaints would go via the MET.

It took over three hours for police to come out to a mugging - with a gun - that we witnessed a couple of years back. The police seemed a bit miffed when they arrived at the hotel I had taken her to (opposite where she was mugged) and the victim had gone back to her hotel (she was a tourist).

Well I’ve now got an ad from the Met Police telling me to look out for wrongdoers. I clicked by accident and it took me to their page with a Report section. So I think I will report this numpty.

I've just sent a complaint to the met with the twitter link.

This police officer thinks it’s ok to video inside the women’s toilets at her place of work. Single sex spaces are currently protected under the equalities act yet she is promoting usage for trans women.

In my work place, filming of any sort inside the ladies toilets would be gross misconduct and I would be dismissed as a result.

Who is policing women’s safety, if it is not the police?

Personal belief systems have no place in the police. Protecting segregated spaces isn't transphobic, it's the law.
