Whilst in the waiting area to support Kate today, I met a young woman not connected to Kate's case.
Her situation was exactly the sort that many of us will recognise and see on the relationship board and elsewhere on Mumsnet.
We had a chat, someone else gave her tissues.
I hope that she'll find her way one day to the relationship board here, and find herself wrapped within the support and kindness of many of you here.
She reminded me of why we rock up here and elsewhere, why we're fighting for women's rights, women's spaces and the right to define our support for women in our own words.
And why we're fighting NOT to be compelled to support those people who direct the type of anger and indignance I saw directed at Kate today, either by legislation, shame, twitter rules, or institutional policy.
I was there to support Kate, but was accidentally reminded why Kate's stance is so important in such a wider context.
