Good luck Kate, may sanity prevail Flowers

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 06/02/2020 13:25

Thinking of you here too Kate.

GeordieTerf · 06/02/2020 14:07

Any updates?

Weezol · 06/02/2020 14:07

Sending support from t'North. Wishing you all good things.

ArranUpsideDown · 06/02/2020 14:10

Court has risen for lunch after Defence describes abuse of process - Crown using uncontentious tweets to allow submission out of time tweets. Crown argued persistency shown by use of a 2nd account. Police failed to secure Hayden's tweets so context missing.

I don't know what this means: "Crown using uncontentious tweets to allow submission out of time tweets." Can someone explain?

Obviously completely ludicrous if the police haven't kept Hayden's tweets but hopefully Kate's lawyers will have screenshots.

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 06/02/2020 14:31

So only one side’s tweets were kept by the police. How can it be right, therefore that it’s presented as ‘evidence’, if it can’t show context?

Does anyone know anything about the judge? Are they generally fair and impartial?

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 06/02/2020 14:36

Sending thoughts and support to you, Kate.

ArranUpsideDown · 06/02/2020 14:38

I had to leave quite early but it was gripping stuff for the short bit I saw. All chairs in public gallery full. They were having to bring in chairs. The receptionist told me they’ve rarely had it so busy. All the support was for Kate. SH was on their own I think

Can she not put in a complaint about the heavy-handedness of the police in this?

PronounssheRa · 06/02/2020 14:55

Isn't this similar to Harry's JR where the details of the complaint disclosed to the court was so heavily redacted by the police it failed to show context re the complainant?

Lordfrontpaw · 06/02/2020 15:02

But a half-decent tech can retrieve electronic communications.

PineappleCocktail · 06/02/2020 15:06

Best of luck mate.

Actually, I had forgotten about that!

FloresTorres · 06/02/2020 15:35

All good wishes to you Kate. Flowers

FannyCann · 06/02/2020 16:00

I thought there was to be no tweeting from court, phones switched off?
Funny how the person who identifies as a lawyer seems to think judges instructions don't apply to those who identify as a lawyer.
An check of the relevant twitter account shows retweeting occurring hourly throughout the day. Maybe hourly loo trips for a quick retweet are all part of the identity?

All the best to Kate Scottow in court tomorrow
Melroses · 06/02/2020 16:03

The person must be terribly bored.

FannyCann · 06/02/2020 16:03

Oops. My mistake. The times relate to the timing of the original tweet and not the retweet. Court must be finished and all the missed action of Twitter today is being caught up with. Hmm

FannyCann · 06/02/2020 16:05

Sorry about the grammar. Achieving perfection is too much like hard work sometimes. Grin

popehilarious · 06/02/2020 16:07

I'm on tenterhooks!

EverardDigby · 06/02/2020 17:48

I was expecting an update when I got home! Does anyone know what's going on?

ScrimshawTheSecond · 06/02/2020 17:55

reporting restrictions are in place, I believe, from a quick look on twitter.

EverardDigby · 06/02/2020 18:00

Yeah I looked on Twitter, I'm presuming that means they're carrying on tomorrow rather than they are still there.

Cuntysnark · 06/02/2020 18:49

Unbelievably radio 4 covered this and the SSA case.

Melroses · 06/02/2020 18:54

Yes - that was a shock Shock

One after the other.
