My feelings about men

BoxyLoxy · 24/01/2020 20:01

Name changed, obviously.

Im a regular on here although mostly lurking.

I was wondering how other people reconcile their feelings about how fucking awful the patriarchy is, how men as a group are basically toxic and even the 'good ones' have an incredibly low bar for being decent humans.

Im married, and seriously reconsidering it because I feel this ongoing utter despair at the myriad injustices I put up with. I would NEVER EVER pursue a relationship with a man if I did leave.

Anyone else feel the same? Is this normal?!

Guardiola8436 I'm still waiting to hear about all your work to raise awareness and funding for prostate cancer and the ways in which it has been much more difficult than those campaigning for the same for breast cancer.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 25/01/2020 12:32

It can't be good for the blood pressure to walk around in a state of frothing rage all the time.

UYScuti · 25/01/2020 12:33

Are you ignorant or just a tosser
None of the above.....give us some more categories please
(Apologies for my misuse of the ellipsis 🙈)

Pretty sure Guardiola8436 is a furious mass debater of some sort Smile

UYScuti · 25/01/2020 12:35

I feel genuine sympathy for men about losing their hair, it must be hard 😕
Then again I have often seen shaven headed men who I thought were attractive, I suppose it must be difficult if you just don't suit that look?

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 25/01/2020 12:36

How DARE women fancy Ryan Gosling and his full head of hair?! How DARE they!!!!

I know! Pure unadulterated wickedness!

(If I say I don't fancy bald men will he take out a hit on me?)

UYScuti · 25/01/2020 12:37

Who's your favourite sociologist then Guardiola?

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 25/01/2020 12:37

Seriously though, it's been a while since your last visit. Did you briefly find yourself another hobby?

Well I don't think he looks like dogshit I don't think anyone looks like dogshit but you seem to be very triggered by Ryan Gosling🤔
maybe you've got PTSD?

UYScuti · 25/01/2020 12:40

I'm pleased for you that you suit the look Guardiola 😊
It's so great when we find a look that we're happy with 😊

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 25/01/2020 12:40

Gosling Derangement Syndrome. Very confusing to those who think it means that people are triggered by newborn birdies that will grow up to crap everywhere.

UYScuti · 25/01/2020 12:41

There's a really BIG hair theme emerging though isn't there...🤔
(Oops another naughty ellipsis 😁)

SueEllenMishke · 25/01/2020 12:42

Firstly, this is a forum not an academic piece of writing.

And why the insults? Where does that get you?

You make so many assumptions it's beyond ridiculous. I have worked on countless projects aimed at disadvantaged groups....a number of them specifically aimed at white working class boys. All of my research is aimed at helping disadvantaged groups. You might think I'm an 'illiterate piece of shit' but I bet I've helped more people in disadvantaged groups than you have.

I might be in a position of privilege now but that hasn't always been the case. But I didn't blame others for my disadvantage I worked hard to end the cycle and have dedicated my career to help others do the same. What have you done?

UYScuti · 25/01/2020 12:42

Guardiola I think you should go back through the thread and count how many times you've mentioned Ryan gosling, he is obviously the source of all your problems, if you can just make peace with the fact of his existence I think you'll be ok 😊

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 25/01/2020 12:42

I personally feel that Brad Pitt would be a lot less attractive if he went bald.

CallofDoodee · 25/01/2020 12:44

I'm not claiming to be a great help to others though. Although (and I don't like saying it) I do give money to cancer research every month and it probably goes to helping women with breast cancer.

Ah OK. So you will bitch about women raising funds and awareness for breast cancer, but you are not willing to do anything yourself to help men with cancer, even though you think they are getting a raw deal? You think someone else should sort that problem? Who do you think should sort that problem?

DuLANGMondeFOREVER · 25/01/2020 12:45

I accidentally saw a Channing Tatum film (it was on at parent and baby cinema) and was surprised to find him incredibly hot! I don’t think he’s pretty in a picture but in movement? Sure!

I don’t really fancy average Hollywood types (I tend to fancy the weirdo actors, Willem DeFoe, Nicolas Cage, Tim Roth et al or musicians mostly) but some people have something about them that makes them sexy and writing that off as just wealth and fame is stupid; Often it’s that thing that brought them fame and wealth.

Bit of a vapid post for FWR, I apologise, but I’m annoyed at what seems to be an accusation that women all have exactly the same taste in looks OR they must be gold diggers.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 25/01/2020 12:47

I fancy the pretty ones, rugged isn't really my cup of tea. Ideally with long luxurious hair!

theflushedzebra · 25/01/2020 12:48

Hahaha, see that's exactly my pointflushedzebra. Women know so little about aesthetics that they think a guy with a full head of hair must be better looking than a bald guy, even when the bald guy has far better aesthetics.

Your "point" comes straight out of Elliot Rodger's manifesto.

Here is something Rodger wrote. Have a think about it, and your own obvious bitterness towards women:

“I saw a young couple sitting a few tables down the row. The sight of them enraged me to no end, especially because it was a dark-skinned Mexican guy dating a hot blonde white girl. I regarded it as a great insult to my dignity. How could an inferior Mexican guy be able to date a white blonde girl

You, like Elliot, are completely disallowing women to make their own decisions about who they fancy or date. Why? Isn't it up them? YOU think you know better about what "aesthetics" women should find attractive - and you don't even pause to think if it is based purely on aesthetics - and think you have the right to tell them so, and call them scum.
