I only know who they are due to DD watching their make up videos. They were on BBC 3s Glow Up program as a guest judge.
Apparently they were being blackmailed and so came out in a video, which is a bit shit for them.

She did start to present as a girl at 7 or 8, I think she said in the video, so perhaps by the time she was in high school the number of people who knew was limited. It is surprising though.

Which, of course, is not a surprise on this forum where individuals are regularly torn apart just for being trans. It's easy to see that in the development of this thread from initial sympathy through to the eventual - and predictable - analysis of Nikkie's appearance and even the questioning of whether it was all some kind of dishonest PR stunt.

Yes, I am being critical, in terms of asking questions as to the significance of this. This is the women's rights board, and I'm discussing women's rights - what are you here for? I asked a question about the source of this information, as we only have Nikkie's own word for it at present, I'd do the same for anyone claiming they're being blackmailed then coming out with a big revelation I know a lot of people would prefer women didn't we exhibit critical thinking skills and simply clapped and smiled, but there we have it. I have no desire to attack Nikkie personally. I hope whoever the blackmailer is can be prosecuted.

If you are concerned about what women/girls are being told about appearance then the significance of this is miniscule when you look at social media as a whole, and the messages being given out by other women.

If you disagree with her videos that's fine RuffleCrow. But why is she being criticised for it now rather than before she came out? And if you are concentrating on one person out of the 150,000 then it's not unreasonable to wonder why.
