I don't know where the original photoshopping started but a fake picture of her has been circulating showing her wearing odd shoes on the wrong feet when going out to vote, implying she's not fit to take office were Labour to win. Whatever you think of her surely this is really misogynistic, racist, whatever. It's really vile.

I really dont think it has anything to do with being racist. What has that to do with the price of fish!

However I saw her on TV last night and she doesnt look or sound well, she could hardly string two words together and she seemed spaced out and forgetful. If she is ill she should really stand down and get her self well.

Doyoumind · 12/12/2019 15:56

Really? Who else would that happen to?

There are websites you can use to tell if an image has been photoshopped, they are a bit rough and ready but I'm surprised any reputable resource would publish a digital image without at least having a look first.

angstridden2 · 12/12/2019 16:02

Is it definitely photoshopped? I can’t stand the woman but to be fair I went to work wearing odd shoes once....one open toed, one not. Picked them out of the cupboard in semi darkness and they looked the same from the back!good job I wasn’t an mp then.

Sandaled · 12/12/2019 16:03

It doesn't look photoshopped, but it is pathetic and cruel though for the papers to circulate it, but not surprised, unfortunately.

Doyoumind · 12/12/2019 16:05

Twitter seems to think it's photoshopped. Whatever, it just amazes me that this is what people want to talk about on election day.

OP posts:
Bluntness100 · 12/12/2019 16:07

I thought it was real. Has she commented? Twitter isn't a hive mind and isn't reliable as witnessed by the recent the Queen is dead tweets.

Sandaled · 12/12/2019 16:08

I'm pretty sure the papers have rules they are supposed to stick to on election Day, I guess this is a way to try and mock Labour without breaking those rules.

Thelnebriati · 12/12/2019 16:08

I can usually Photoshop an image so it doesn't look shopped. Its often no use looking at the image, you have to use a tool to look for signs of compression, or look at the data.

Birdsfoottrefoil · 12/12/2019 16:10

Really? Who else would that happen to?

There are an awful lot of photoshopped images of Jeremy Corbyn, and even more of Boris Johnson.

Lots of politicians are turned into photoshopped images.

motherofawhirlwind · 12/12/2019 16:10

There's a lot of other shots from the same time / location on which her shoes are matching. It's clearly photoshopped, her leg is a different colour!

Bluntness100 · 12/12/2019 16:11

Not if it's real, as I looks like it is. If Any member of the cabinet or shadow cabinet fronted up in odd shoes on the wrong feet, it would have been picked up on and commented on.

Bluntness100 · 12/12/2019 16:14

Can you post links to those, because all the pics in the media all show different shots of her and she's still in the same odd shoes on the wrong feet, you can clearly see the wrong one gaping out at the side.

potter5 · 12/12/2019 16:17

That's a really nasty thing to do.

GoodJobSteve · 12/12/2019 16:18

The original image was of her and Labour MP Meg Hillier, and it was posted by Meg Hillier on her twitter account (now deleted), so I'd think it was genuine?

SarahTancredi · 12/12/2019 16:21

I think we have all done something stupid/ridiculous.

Odd socks,.underwear in inside out, back to front or inside out clothing, forgot to clean teeth or brush hair, gone out in last nights make up.

Would there be anyone left deemed competent for anything if it were a yard stick for sanity?

ThierryEnnui · 12/12/2019 16:27

There was a comment on Twitter saying this may be to do with her diabetes and swelling of one of her feet, meaning she would have to wear two of the ‘same’ shoe.

Some awful responses to the photo though. I really despair

MockersFactCheckMN · 12/12/2019 16:31

...And of Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson turned up drunk at an Italian airport after a good night with his Russian pals, that would be all over the frnt pages.

Westfacing · 12/12/2019 16:32

I've accidentally worn odd shoes - same style slightly different colour and didn't notice until going home in the evening on the Tube when I glanced down and saw what I'd done!

But surely you can feel if you've shoved your foot into the wrong side shoe - her shoes were loafers not some loose-fitting trainers or Uggs

Bluntness100 · 12/12/2019 16:32

No doubt we all do daft things, but if you're the shadow Home Secretary and you know you're going to be photographed on Election Day then it would be prudent to attempt to wear your shoes on the right feet, and ensure they are a pair when going to vote . As tomorrow morning this woman could actually be the Home Secretary and I'm sure she'd like the public to be confident in her abilities, not just to do the job but actually put her shoes on the right feet

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 12/12/2019 16:33

I just assumed there was something wrong with one of her feet so it was more comfortable to wear different shoes. She has plenty of health issues after all.

PortiaCastis · 12/12/2019 16:33

How vile mocking a woman who has health issues it just goes to show how low some will stoop, but at the last election the politics of personal destruction didn't work and Dianne increased her majority hugely

SarahTancredi · 12/12/2019 16:37

If she didnt turn up then expect that eoyod be talked about too.

But I'm of the "own it" ilk. I'm no fan but that's down to what's come out of her mouth not what she wore on her feet

tiggertogger · 12/12/2019 16:49

It's not photoshopped. It was uploaded by a Labour MP and now deleted when the shoes were pointed out. She then changed shoes for the rest of the day and all was right with the world again. You'd think she would have someone who would look at her closely enough to tell her about an error like this.

Catkin8 · 12/12/2019 16:53

I don't believe for a second that you wouldn't all be slating BJ if he'd made this error (she didn't simply wear mismatched shoes, but also wore the wrong shoe on the wrong foot!) She has zero credibility.
