How is this considered good parenting rather than child abuse? It says they've been reported to social services, so at least one person has concerns, but yet they still seem to be able to plough ahead with it. Surely there should be some protection for a child who isn't even old enough to be trusted to choose their own clothes, let alone their gender.

I want to know if the rah-rah trans cheerleader liberal feminists are even a little bit uncomfortable with this. Do they think that this extremely rare condition of being born in the wrong body just happened three times in the same family, or are they quietly going "wait a minute"?

The child is FIVE ffs.

I know a family that had something very tragic happen and after the tragedy their son transitioned into their daughter and their daughter transitioned into their son. But at least those kids are teens. When my kids were 5 they thought they were tank engines, or cats.

Jayden is “adamant she is a girl” and loves dressing up as Princess Anna from the Disney film, Frozen

“They say it’s cruel we let her wear a dress but is it not more cruel to do nothing when you’ve got a kid who’s so adamant she’s a girl she’s ripping her hair off and banging her head off the walls?”

But it's nothing to do with stereotypes.

Stories like this make me think I'm beyond all this, I simply can't care about every single child, it hurts too much to imagine how confused this child is going to be when they learn the truth, probably as an adult once it's too late.

Like learning Santa isn't real x 100,000...

It just hurts, poor kid, all these poor kids.
Haven't got a hope in hell.

I think I can only protect my kid....then I have a word with myself and think, nope, ok, on we go.

There was a 6 year old like this in my dd's school. That was 5 years ago now. I often wonder what happened that child.

What do you think will happen to a five year old boy who is told by his parents that he is a girl because he wants to wear dresses?

Don't you think it would be better for his parents to say it's OK if he wants to dress up as a princess, but he's still a boy? And explain to him that people can't change sex.
