Fresh thread in case part 2 fills up overnight.
I am yet to receive a reply to my third email, have been furiously tweeting, and as am now pursuing the options available to me as a shareholder.
Still crossing fingers for John Lewis!

Pervy pigs

Awesome 😂😂😂

WrathofSIxFootSlxEIf · 14/11/2019 23:34

How do we do a head count though?
Tricky but we've had a collective 'check in' thread before.

There will be names missing.

littlecabbage · 14/11/2019 23:35

Okay, I see. Depressing that we have to.

Akire · 14/11/2019 23:36

Is there anywhere else this sort of thing can be talked about ? Or is it just Facebook groups. I don’t really use Facebook.

Mummyoflittledragon · 15/11/2019 06:12

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/3743930-M-and-S-male-changing-room-assistant-odd-or-not another M&S thread. This time about male attendants at changing rooms.

Justabaker · 15/11/2019 07:21

Hi all.

I'm not saying the tide is turning against the woke bros and those who enable them. However, there are those attempting to burst the lovely iridescent soap bubble that TRA lobby has created. I may get banned for some of the things that I'm going to post but if so, I'll be back and I will find all of you.

But, anything we can do to draw attention to, support, challenge those who want to support what we are seeking - appropriate application of the Equal Rights Act - is going to be a net positive.

I do not identify as Lab Con LibDem Green or Monster Loony. Just posting good material here.

An organisation in Canada is fighting back against the erosion of sex based rights in Canada . www.jccf.ca/ .

Mockery is a great tool against outrageous ideas.

Woman has taken her employer to tribunal after she asserts she was fired for expressing gender critical beliefs. It's in the torygraph but the link worked for me. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/11/13/tax-expert-lost-job-transphobic-tweet-takes-case-employment/

And the Guardian has very cautiously dipped a toe in loo water. Ha ha. Terrible pun but here's the piece on toilets.

Dreichdrizzle · 15/11/2019 07:26

I wonder if female employees who see "gender" being promoted as a protected characteristic in their workplace would be able to complain about discrimination. I don't have a gender, only a sex, which is protected, but which companies apparently aren't protecting.

YourOpinionIsNoted · 15/11/2019 07:48

Good news - so far the Pervy Pigs thread is still standing, with some new people on this morning who are pretty horrified by the M&S policy and the reviews on the website. Hopefully that's pulled a few more people into the m&s boycott.

If it was you, M&S PR bods, cheers! You've done us a real favour there. waves

Justabaker · 15/11/2019 07:52

I know this in particular is off the M&S topic but its a jaw dropper. You can't forget once you've seen it. No it's not a dude in frilly knickers. But it's about women's sports.

Do we want our DDs to be active and sporty? Sports are categorised by sex for a reason. This link shows how high school boys (18 and under) would compete against the women gold medal winners in 2016 Olympics in athletics and swimming.

They want our spaces, our places, our college scholarships, our jobs, our places on women only short lists, our privacy, our company, our toilets, our gyms, our changing rooms. For their own private gain or satisfaction.

VinandVigour · 15/11/2019 08:26

Justabaker the graphics on that link, couldn’t be any more jaw dropping. How can the IOC see this happening and think this is a) OK and b) women are going to accept this.

Justabaker
Great link on women's sport.

WrathofSIxFootSlxEIf · 15/11/2019 09:13

I will be watching M&S to see if they delete any lingerie reviews.
If they leave those reviews up, I'd consider that an act of defiance by M&S.

What sort of business would leave reviews like that up in the face of this level of criticism? .

Clean it up M&S, we are watching you.

TheShoesa · 15/11/2019 09:14

That link is astonishing Justabaker

Do you know if FPFW have seen it? Given their current focus on sports it might be a good one to forward

Zeugma · 15/11/2019 10:02

it really brought a lump to my throat,” Kelly says.

A lump of vomit, in my case Hmm

StandUpStraight · 15/11/2019 10:22

justabaker that woman being sacked for expressing these views is just terrifying, particularly as so many employers are so keen to burnish their woke credentials these days. I can’t see how they can get away with it though - the European court of human rights handed down a decision a few days ago that says that the right to freedom of expression should be secured even in the relationship between employer and employee. I haven’t read the decision itself, just commentary on it, but it suggests that the employer has to show some actual damage to its business interests and that this damage is then balanced against the employee’s right to freedom of expression of their own personal views. I really hope that woman wins her case and other companies sit up and take notice.

GetbusywiththeFizzee · 15/11/2019 10:26

Still standing and they are allowing more to be added on.
They haven’t shown any of their male, customers who they prize so highly wearing any of the lingerie yet. They have women of varying ages, shapes and sizes.
Come on M&S, stop being so bashful about your target market, get some middle aged men in women’s underwear with their bits tucked in to advertise your lingerie. Or does your inclusivity only stretch to welcoming them into women’s changing rooms and upholding their sleazy reviews on your website?

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 15/11/2019 10:30

Why would they deleted reviews from their target audience?

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 15/11/2019 10:30

Can someone humor the expat and explain what a Percy Pig is? You can't really get the food overseas.

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 15/11/2019 10:33

It's a disgusting Jelly sweet in the shape of a pig head.

Think of a slimier bigger gummy bear, stuck together with other gummy bears forming a big goopual inside a crisp packet.

That's percy pigs.

SirVixofVixHall · 15/11/2019 10:37

A Percy pig is pink, plumpish, with assorted fruity friends.
A Pervy pig is broadly similar but wearing Ladies underwear .

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 15/11/2019 10:39

Is there liquidy stuff on the inside? Why is part of it so matte looking?

On the AIBU thread someone mentioned a Percy Pig muffin, which going by the description above sounds bizarre.

Datun · 15/11/2019 10:43

It's a very good point, asking why they don't let men model their knickers and bras, actually.

Something stopping them ?

TimeLady · 15/11/2019 10:44

Good Point. C'mon M&S, where's the inclusivity/diversity in just having females (of all ages and sizes) modelling your lingerie? What about the menz? Your website is clear you already have the contacts.

This guy looks only too wiling to oblige

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 15/11/2019 10:50

But for girls the choice of knickers creates a humongous problem every morning – thong, Brazilian, high briefs, or boy shorts?

The more of an interest men have in roleplaying as us the less they understand us. It's like the fetish is an anti empathy shield.
