The Sunday Times reporting a long overdue judicial review after an (alleged) sexual assault on a woman prisoner by a male born trans rapist who had been placed in a female prison. (trying to be careful with language given the oppressive monitors who try to control this board).

And they've reported on the Centre Parks issue as well as a prominent article about that major brands like Unilever and Heinz advertising on Pornhub that's awash with child sex abuse. Share token:

The Halloween document repeatedly stresses the risk of suicide for transgender prisoners. We know that self harming is at around 46% for women prisoners. Do transwomen prisoners have a lower or higher risk, do we know?

Interesting comments. It's worth considering that, as the police now record the identities of rapists and paedophiles as whatever sex they claim to be, all of our data about sex offending is presumably now totally screwed. How this will impact on the numbers of rapists being housed alongside vulnerable women is anyone's guess - but given that the Ministry of Justice has an evident campaign to compromise women's safety in prison, it's likely to get worse for vulnerable women.

A trans prisoner in a Scottish prison, apparently "had sex" with female inmates. I'd call a male having sex with women locked in the same confined space as rape.

There are currently 15 MTF trans in Scottish prisons, none of whom have had surgery and all who have their penises and testicles intact:

We will be launching our website next week to coincide with this Judicial Review and will be launching a comprehensive campaign to fight for the right of female prisoners to the single-sex spaces, services and communal accommodation that they are entitled to under EA.

How about it being a condition of having a GRC that it is rescinded on convicted of rape or sexual assault. And that a conviction for rape means you are ineligible for a GRC.

Wouldn't work for the person who was convicted of attempted rape, but claimed their inability to maintain an erection was related to gender dysphoria. They also claimed they committed the crime in order to return to prison and get their transition sorted by the state while inside. They also claim to be a trailblazing pioneer in terms of trans women on the female estate.

This all needed stopping decades ago.
