Here is a compilation of the clarifications that we've posted since the new guidelines were released:

Will you let posters know if they have had a post deleted?
Yes – we'll mail posters when we delete one of their posts.

Will there be a mechanism for ensuring that posters aren’t suspended because they’ve quoted a deleted post?
Yes. we won’t count these posts as a strike.

Will FWR be the only area of the boards where we have a three strikes system?
We haven't had to formalise this elsewhere, but in practice, three deletions would usually lead to a suspension elsewhere on site*

This isn't true though. I have gotten strikes and deletions while being blissfully unaware of it because I didn't hear from MN. And if they don't tell you, and you post without malice and don't re-read threads how can you possibly know what's going on?

I opted out of notifications from MN to stop them cluttering up my inbox and this seems to have resulted in me not getting notifications for posts being deleted also. May be that's the same for you Galop?

Sometimes they like being childish and waiting a long time before answering. They've said it before.

I've had one deletion that I know of and wasn't emailed. I have the @ notifications though. (Is that right?)

I've had a deletion and a first warning, and I was trying very hard to stay within the rules, but it it is difficult.

I hope LittleBrownDog is able to come back, I enjoyed her posts when I was lurking.

I've had an email telling me that they had deleted a post, because it wasn't very nice. Also in the same email it warned me that this was a first strike. 2 more in a rolling 6 week period and I'd be banned.
I wasn't abusive or nasty. Tbh, I've posted clearer correct sexing posts and they haven't been deleted.
the guidelines are so vague and woolly and definitely subject to the personal view of the moderator. It's really difficult to stay within vague and woolly mysterious guidelines

I think our Twitter watchers are on a bit of a reporting spree tonight(number of high profile things have hit the headlines this week, so I think they're lashing out by way of revenge), so we all have to be extra careful to stay within talk guidelines, Butter. I notice with great sadness that Fekko seems to have gone - whether banned or suspended, I'm not sure.
