Has anyone heard from her?

The last I saw she had lost her login and had made a new account.

I miss her. I hope the confusion hasn't seen her suspended.

Well the rules change every 20 minutes

And they don’t tell you they’ve deleted you (for some obscure reason)

And they dont tell you WHY they deleted you (so you can ensure you are no longer such a bad bunny)

And they dont tell you if the deletion counts as a strike

And as far as i can see (no personal experience of this) they sometimes send an email saying...youve been a really bad bunny but we are not going to tell you how or when and sometimes they can’t even be arsed with the email

It’s ridiculous

zebrasdontwearbras · 21/10/2019 19:39

I thought saying tw are male was accepted as factual and within the rules.

Perhaps the mods were a bit overzealous over the w/e because of flora.

Matereality · 21/10/2019 19:51

Her short pithy comments often have a kinda haiku like quality

Yes! I have often wondered if she is a professional writer IRL. It's hard to communicate so well and so concisely. She's a stand out poster.

nettie434 · 21/10/2019 20:28

I'd been wondering where she was too but I've not kept up with everything on the Posie Parker thread. I love her posts even though I don't always agree with her. She is so trenchant and concise (and witty). I got an 'exactly' from her once and preened all day.

MindTheMinotaur · 21/10/2019 23:24

Hope you're still around Littl

LangCleg · 22/10/2019 09:11

Another longstanding FWR regular has found themselves suddenly unable to login with no accompanying email from HQ this week. What is going on?

Littl - send us a sign if you can!

Can we start a petition to bring her back? I miss her already!

LangCleg · 22/10/2019 09:17

Signed.

Its the rudeness of this sort of situation that i have a hard time with

Ive generally found the mods PERSONALLY very helpful and polite even when ive sent a very tantrumy email to MNHQ

BUT....its all very well preaching ‘peace and love’ and then not giving people the smallest courtesy of telling them what they have done wrong and why they are being banned

Its making for a very untrustworthy feel...which is a shame

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 22/10/2019 09:27

Oh and I’ll sign a petition...

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 22/10/2019 09:29

There is a petition about mental health on the petition board thats not getting much attention

So littls petition needs to be huuuuuge

ThePankhurstConnection · 22/10/2019 09:58

Oh no.

How can a person keep track of the rules in this place they are mostly vague and inconsistently moderated and people still seem to be banned without warning. Angry

ThePankhurstConnection · 22/10/2019 09:58

Just adding - I hope to see her back here soon - fingers crossed.

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 22/10/2019 09:59

Yes. For an organisation that sets such store by civility, MNHQ can be sadly lacking in that grace themselves

As Rufus says, individually mods are generally charming, but there does seem to be an organisational issue in the attitude towards posters

ClosdesMouches · 22/10/2019 09:59

I am quite sure that when the new guidelines for FWR posters were published, it was stated therein that HQ would email "offenders".
So why has that changed?

Needmoresleep · 22/10/2019 10:09

The three strikes rule surely means that sooner or later regular posters will all be banned.

I have one strike, an error rather than something deliberate, and I assume over a year or two I might pick up a couple more. (Not my intention!) And that this will be true of other, articulate, but not provocative posters.

Perhaps strikes should be like driving license points and expire over time. Or banning might be considered in the context of the overall number of posts. Less than one strike per 10,000 posts is surely a better track record than, say a plopper, who gets three strikes in four posts.

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 22/10/2019 10:12

Originally it was a rolling 6 months for strikes (i think)

But today?

Who knows! Grin

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 22/10/2019 10:19

Rolling 6 weeks for strikes I think

But yes, right now, who knows?

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 22/10/2019 10:21

Oooh yeah weeks...

NotBadConsidering · 22/10/2019 10:25

I’ve had posts deleted but how do I know if that’s part of a strike? There’s nothing in the emails to say I’m on 1 of 3 or whatever, so how would I know? I’ve also had posts deleted without emails. So what does that mean in the grand scheme of things? Confused

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 22/10/2019 10:28

I like rules

I dont like too many of them but i like to know where i stand

I understand the rules on FWR (don’t necessarily agree) and I understand WHY MNHQ feels they should be in place

What I don’t understand is why when i am obeying the rules MNHQ have put in place...why they don’t

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 22/10/2019 10:29

Rules..guidelines...whatever

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 22/10/2019 10:31

Am I allowed to criticise someone for their actions or express a negative view on them even if they happen to be trans?

Of course, yes

Well this doesn’t happen anymore

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 22/10/2019 10:33

Will you let posters know if they have had a post deleted?

Yes – we'll mail posters when we delete one of their posts

Or this

Maybe the guidelines need tweaking again....things evolve after all

Floisme · 22/10/2019 10:35

I've started being a lot more careful on long, circular threads. My rule now is to say what I want to say once, maybe twice (OK maybe three times) but then, unless I've got something new to add, I'm out. Because I think the more I repeat myself, the more likely I am to slip up.
