Has anyone heard from her?

The last I saw she had lost her login and had made a new account.

I miss her. I hope the confusion hasn't seen her suspended.

It's unconscionable that either thread has been allowed to stand. They should have been deleted and a kind, signposting word should have been had with the child behind the scenes.

I'm genuinely reeling at the poor judgement here.

MNHQ clearly needs to commission proper safeguarding training for its staff (as well as remedial work in identifying coercive control).

This is what happens when safeguarding is dusmantled, when boundaries are removed.

When the charities that are supposed to protect children send a message out that safeguarding doesn't matter, when organisations and schools dismantle the usual rules to appease bullies, when the Govt makes it easy to do this, when the MSM ignores adults' abuse of children, when doctors operate on healthy children, when organisations brainwash children that they need to undergo lifechanging surgery and take hormones.

All of that sends out a message that safeguarding doesn't matter. Lisa Muggeridge is right, we know the endgame here.

Safeguarding is everyone's concern. That's what the trainers say on safeguarding training in schools.

Outstanding comment HandsOffMyRights

This is where were are now with politicians, charities, organisations and individuals including (regrettably) MHHQ being openly targeted and threatened by the most successful intimidatory campaign ever - to the extent that our fundamental beliefs, legislation and practices are being overturned in favour of.... well if I said the reality I'd get deleted ....

Welcome back little and fekko. Sorry to see Orchid has gone again.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 03/11/2019 15:39

How many time’s is that off Orchid? I think it’s 3 strikes in a month and your membership is ‘reviewed’.

I’m guessing if it’s strikes as in ‘you said something that could be misconstrued as anti T’ (or a ‘watcher’ had wilfully reported some comment that could be seen as that at a stretch) then the axe will fall heavier than, say you said you kicked kittens and poisoned puppies on the weekends.

DickKerrLadies · 03/11/2019 15:55

As I said on one of those now locked threads, if it was an attempt to somehow prove that children who identify as trans have the maturity to understand the full implications of a medical pathway then it was a massive failure.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 05/11/2019 13:24

Update from Orchid. She's been told to 'go well'.

MNHQ didn't feel that saying 'how awful for you' to the (apparent) parent of a trans child was civil. Regardless of Orchid's clarification of what she meant downthread.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 05/11/2019 13:33

Is that a euphemism I haven't heard of?

GirlDownUnder · 05/11/2019 13:44

Well, that’s shit.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 05/11/2019 14:36

That makes zero sense. It was a sympathetic remark.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 05/11/2019 14:42

'how awful ...'

EmpressLesbianInChair · 05/11/2019 14:47

Is that a euphemism I haven't heard of?

Pretty much.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 05/11/2019 14:48

Aw bollocks to that (not a euphemism)

Melroses · 05/11/2019 16:25

MNHQ didn't feel that saying 'how awful for you' to the (apparent) parent of a trans child was civil. Regardless of Orchid's clarification of what she meant downthread.

Perhaps they only see it in the light of their"'go well"s rather than in the empathetic spirit that it was meant. Sort of when you only see your own intentions in other people.

LangCleg · 05/11/2019 16:32

"Go well" is the most infuriating, passive aggressive bunkum ever.

If you're going to bin people, for good reasons as well as spurious ones, just tell 'em to fuck off.

littlbrowndog · 05/11/2019 16:33

I got go well

littlbrowndog · 05/11/2019 16:36

But orchard was being kind to a mum not being transphobic or spiteful

littlbrowndog · 05/11/2019 16:37

Orchird

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 05/11/2019 16:39

Yep, I think the reporter and the moderator read an inference into Orchid’s post that wasn’t actually there

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 05/11/2019 16:41

Now I know MNHQ have been on this thread as a number of posts have been deleted

So the tragic Mumsnet hate readers are performing their self appointed monitoring task as usual

But no feedback from MNHQ it seems

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 05/11/2019 16:44

So it’s what you think or what they think you are thinking? 🤔

Can anyone guess what I’m thinking right now?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 05/11/2019 16:45

Was that intern back again?

FannyCann · 17/11/2019 10:45

Just noticed FloralBunting on some threads last night. Welcome back Floral. You have been missed.

OhHolyJesus · 17/11/2019 11:42

I spotted the return of Floral too, welcome back! Good to see some of the regulars returning.
