Well, obviously we have pretty much one set of views on that, but this video from the US shows both sets of views, and intelligence wise I know which side I am supporting.

Leave them alone. No one is after your rights except straight white men. Know your enemy. It is not the trans community. You all bring shame on real feminists

You. Are. Not. Conprehending. Any. Of. This.

Women have a RIGHT to feel SAFE. Not all of us feel safe seeing a male bodied person walk into our changing rooms, or our toilets. Ever been raped toffee apple? Ever been sexually abused? Punched multiple times? Physically abused by men? No doubt youll chime in "yes but im totally fine!", well fucking slow clap for you, not all of us are. PTSD and innate fear of men or anyone with a fucking penis doesn't always follow logic. We deserve to feel SAFE. They might not be there to hurt us, but our feelings shouldn't be shoved aside, as they always have done for all of history, so that men have their way, that men's feelings get put before all others.

We do indeed know who is after our rights as most "transwomen" in the UK attempting to remove women's rights are indeed stright white men as you so kindly point out. It appears we have more in common than you thought you arl bat. ;)

Trans women are women = body of Christ.

I was brought up a Catholic but am now an atheist. Chanting nonsense doesn’t make it true. It just means you are chanting nonsense.

My 17 year old is tiny. She's the approximate weight and height of a 12 year old. Should she be allowed to play in the U13 hockey team?

NotBadConsidering · 18/10/2019 11:18

The topic is sport. Please stick to the topic and don’t derail, newly registered poster ToffeeApple24.

You don't get to choose to disgaree with peoples' existence.

Sure I do. There are heaps of people whose existence I choose to disagree with. Does my disagreement have any impact on their existence? Nup. Not a single fairy died while I was busy disagreeing.

But in fact I don’t doubt the existence of trans people; their embodied reality is susceptible to scientific validation (upright and breathing? Well, there you go). Also, you can’t open a newspaper or social media site without someone whining about their gender identity - it’s lile using wasps in the garden, the noise never stops.

What I doubt is the reality of their ability to change sex or their belief that they are other than that natal sex. So I disagree. with their interpretation of their feelings. I’m disagreeing as hard as I can right now - do you feel any different?

But you’re right about men being the biggest threat to women - even if they’re wearing a nice frock and a shiny bag.

aliasundercover · 18/10/2019 11:19

I think you should say “transwomen are women” again. That’ll convince everyone.

ErrolTheDragon · 18/10/2019 11:21

I didn't say women are responsible for what men do

Yes you did. You strongly imply that women standing up for the rights of women and girls are responsible for male violence when it's applied to transwomen.

It's hard to find the stats but I'd take a bet that women and gay men in the other 'intersectional' groups you mentioned are also at high risk of being victims of male violence. But they're not newsworthy.

ToffeeApple24 · 18/10/2019 11:22

@YouJustDoYou how dare you lol

I am comprehending this. None of you seem to be able to get the difference between sex and gender. You're all just attention seekers.

Trans women are women therefore yes they should compete in womens sports. As a woman, I am not threatened by the trans community, I am threatened by cis white males.

They are the real threat, where are the threeads upon threads about the damage they do to women?

Trans women are a non-issue for women

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/10/2019 11:24

Trans women are women How?

ToffeeApple24 · 18/10/2019 11:24

trans women are women

Acerbicc · 18/10/2019 11:24

Trans women do not have the biological disadvantages that women do when compared to men. So for them to compete in womens sport is cheating.

Transwomen are transwomen. I absolutely recognise their right to exist, and to not be discriminated against on the grounds of gender. In the case of sports, I suppose that would mean a TW should be able to compete with males wearing 'women's' kit.
The mantra 'transwomen are women', otoh, negates the experience of many TW who know they're still male. Why are you denying their existence?

Michelleoftheresistance · 18/10/2019 11:26

Transwomen are a non-issue for women

Well obviously that's not true is it, since there are 168 messages here mostly from women explaining their issues?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/10/2019 11:27

Trans women are women How?

Did I miss the enlightening explanation or are we still at the repeat-until-blue-in-face stage?

Acerbicc · 18/10/2019 11:27

They've been through male puberty and trained at a male level for years.

Someone who took blockers from age 9 and never experienced puberty wouldn't have the ability to compete at an advanced level in sport anyway, but they'd still take the place of a natal born woman, again ,cheating.

Michelleoftheresistance · 18/10/2019 11:27

And that I would be cheering on as truly stunning and brave.

Datun · 18/10/2019 11:30

The biggest threat to women is statistically the straight white male

No one is after your rights except straight white men.

🤣🤣

There's evidence from the terrible historical practice of creating 'castrati' that men who don't go through male puberty are still physiologically different from women.
