I just heard this as a news bulletin thing on LBC too. Am shocked but pleased it's getting out there.

I've just had the point made to me that there are also boys (usually gay) caught in ROGD and detransition too. By a mum. So wanted to put that here.

I have Sky News on TV in the background and the video package has shown at least four times in the past two hours.

The main raison d'etre for Tavi & Port is the belief in a gendered soul, aka "gender identity". That's the main basis for transitioning minors. How can it stand up to thousands of desisting young women (and some young men)?

Damn feminists trying to protect girls and young women from something that never happens, ummm. Wonder how this will be minimised.

Also: notice the language in the headline, which is being repeated and emphasised by the presenters introducing the TV package: sex not gender.

You cannot 'return' to your original sex. You never left it. You cannot. It is impossible.

Bit bummed they didn’t even mention that transitioned transgender people have a 19x higher risk of suicide than nontransitioned transgender people. They chose instead to keep the mantra of “regret is rarely seen” and “transition benefits many people”. If it were such a net benefit to the majority of transgender people, then the number killing themselves would go down not way waaaaay up!

I guess by 'return' what they mean is to undo the damage that hormones and surgery have done to their bodies.

I think that this is huge - I'm pretty sure that it will be detransitioners that will bring the whole gender identity thing down. Not immediately, but when enough of the ROGD kids have detransitioned that they can't be ignored, which I'm guessing will be about 5-10 years

As long as you believe in gendered souls, the rest follows, more or less. But detransitioners are the living proof that there are no gendered souls

Much of which can't be undone. Once body parts have been removed they're gone for good. And a woman who has taken testosterone will have a permanently deepened voice. If they took hormone blockers as adolescents the impact of that medication on their bone density and brain development will also stay with them for life.
