I think it's more that people are aware of the ridiculous language, where formerly they would have just ignored it all.

I've seen that image a few times on Facebook today. Think it's going viral. And the comments are almost exclusively taking the piss. There's definitely been a lot of peaking going on.

My children were making “I identify as” jokes a while back. I think most people have always seen this as ridiculous. Most people think it’s another stupid phase that will pass. What they don’t know is that it is being written into law. Therein lies the problem.

I was thinking the same thing. Saw the bin post on facebook yesterday and also a link to a Metro article where a man sent a dk pic to a trans woman who sent a dk pic back. First comment was 'you go girl' rest were predominantly 'where is the girl/woman in this story?'. I think the majority of people have always thought rationally but, now it has gone too far, people are prepared to speak out. Puuuullllll!

This really has been the most bizarre experience of my life, watching the top down attempt to impose complete fucking nonsense about "gender" on the general population, but it kind of feels like maybe we've hit the point where enough people have noticed that the inevitable end is in sight?

OMG this is genius - in addition to stickers I am now going to carry a giant marker pen in my bag and may just help some bins to find their true identity whilst I'm on my travels. If enough bins in the country self-identify as a different colour.........
