Jeffrey Epstein has apparently committed suicide.

Can’t help feeling he has escaped from justice.

The conspiracy theorists are going to be all over this one but I would be very interested in an UNBIASED autopsy

SingingLily · 10/08/2019 14:52

Wasn't it the Miami Herald that helped force everything blinking into the daylight? The allegations aren't going to go away just because JE is no longer around - so many others have been named. I'm waiting to see what happens next but I don't think the Herald will give up now.

LangCleg · 10/08/2019 14:57

There are going to be endless conspiracy theories about this.

But the truth is likely far more mundane: abusive men often kill themselves rather than confront their abuse. Like all the wankstains who abuse their wives and girlfriends, then kill them when they try to leave, then kill themselves sooner than take responsibility.

Epstein: nothing new to see. Useless, abusive, misogynist man who enabled other useless, abusive misogynists men and killed himself rather than admit it. Wanker. Won't be missed.

Let's hope the evidence against him is now turned into an official inquiry so that we can all see how he was allowed to operate and abuse for so long. If there is to be a conspiracy, it'll be why that never happens rather than why a snivelling rapist abuser did what so many of them do.

Bespin · 10/08/2019 14:58

it's a shame we will never know the full extent of this and people will never be charged with what they have done or known.

Trohmaniac · 10/08/2019 15:00

I'm hoping he had evidence against people hidden away somewhere in case something like this happened.

No doubt he was going to name a lot of names.

ZuttZeVootEeeVro · 10/08/2019 15:01

Wasn't he going to expose a lot of peadophiles?

I wonder how much information he had given already?

sheshootssheimplores · 10/08/2019 15:02

Agreed. Deeply convenient for everyone who facilitated and collided with him.

sheshootssheimplores · 10/08/2019 15:03

*colluded

kmammamalto · 10/08/2019 15:05

It's given me so much rage that he's just being described as a sex offender. He was a paedophile. Say the word, print it in the paper, why does he get away with not getting his proper label!?
Whatever happened to him I hope it hurt.

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 10/08/2019 15:06

Any chance he left a very informational, list-like, suicide letter? Hmm

PackingSoapAndWater · 10/08/2019 15:09

Holy fish on a bicycle.

Well, I wish I could say I'd take off my tin foil hat, but I think this news has permanently welded it to my head.

The cost of silence, eh? Things really are rotten in the state of fucking everywhere.

InTheHeatofLisbon · 10/08/2019 15:13

I'm usually very sceptical of conspiracy theories.

However in this case I'm very suspicious, especially given the name that was mentioned in the press yesterday.

Epstein's last court appearance where he was clearly heavily medicated and bore no marks on his neck (despite an apparent attempt to hang himself days earlier) was very odd.

And we're expected to believe that a man on 24 hour suicide watch, who was clearly guilty as hell but could have brought down a lot of very powerful, very perverted paedophiles along with him, managed to hang himself?

I call absolute bullshit.

Money talks.

justasking111 · 10/08/2019 15:13

The only thing that could have saved him was a wiki type leak ala Assange, so if anything happened to him the evidence was distributed at the press of a button by many, many people worldwide simultaneously. Otherwise he was out of time.

I wonder if it would be worth looking for bodies on his islands?

sparkly72 · 10/08/2019 15:17

Too convenient

Childrenofthestones · 10/08/2019 15:26

Dpwm said...
"Wasn't Trump a friend of Epstein?
What's he saying about it?"

And Clinton, who flew to the island on Epstein's private jet.

FormerMediocreMale · 10/08/2019 16:05

I have no feelings for him being dead, good riddance, but am concerned how this will impact bringing to justice others involved.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 10/08/2019 16:11

bringing to justice others involved

He was going to expose the most powerful peadophile ring on the planet, They will never be brought to justice.

regularbutpanickingabit · 10/08/2019 16:13

That makes me so angry. So ridiculously angry.

Sarcelle · 10/08/2019 16:17

Mightily convenient. A lot of rich powerful famous men will be breathing a sigh of relief.

I wonder what will happen to Maxwell.

There was a random story about Fergie at Balmoral today, talk of romance being rekindled. Anyone would think deflection was taking place.

RJFirth · 10/08/2019 16:18

Hugely convenient for some very well known people on both sides of the pond.

FormerMediocreMale · 10/08/2019 16:20

Captain he would never of been allowed to talk. Just look at the people involved. I just hope he gave something in the way of information, evidence before this happened.

Personally I dont think this was suicide, whoever carried it out however will have been the best money can buy and made sure there is no evidence.

OvaHere · 10/08/2019 16:49

This will generate more conspiracy than JFK.

Very convenient for a lot of rich men.

TurboTeddy · 10/08/2019 16:56

I think rather than actually being murdered he would have been given the "option" of suicide which, given he knows whose skeletons he's hiding, probably seemed more appealing than death by a method of "their" choosing.

BelleHathor · 10/08/2019 17:38

Feel so sorry for all the girls that he trafficked. Am currently reading TrafficKing by Conchita Sarnoff which details a lot of the depraved things that happened. Mightily convenient as 2000 pages of court documents naming names were unsealed yesterday. I am hoping that it is similar to the Anthony Weiner case where the FBI found "insurance/blackmail" files. Those involved shouldn't sleep easy as I read that Epstein kept films of the abuse.

justasking111 · 10/08/2019 17:47

Trafficking is so easy and lucrative I read recently, less risky than drug smuggling.
