This guy - screen shot attached - has been argued with and called "transphobic" by a TRA.

The TRA's (a transwoman) answer just reminded me of the intro of the six million dollar man "gentlemen, we can re-build this man" I can't help thinking that my generation was richer in culture. And good sense.

Fabulously heartening to read!

I did well up a little when I read Francis Wheen's tweet on that thread. I love his writing and his relentless snark, shot through with a refreshing weft of outrage and humanity. It would be very difficult to believe he couldn't see the issues with genderism, but it's still a relief to read it.

I've just clicked on the link and it's still there, no sign of him deleting his account from what I can see.

Why haven't men got this on board about any other women's rights issue? They have managed to ignore an awful lot for an awfully long time. We have been fighting against and drowning in rape, domestic abuse, prostitution, porn, on and on .... so I'll ask again .... where were the men?

This is the most uplifting thread. I have a seven month old baby boy, and I hope I can raise him to be as compassionate, rational and women-supporting as these blokes.

Raising a glass to them, their parents, the women they name check who have been vilified for voicing concerns, and also to @glinner, who has stood as a lone public man for way too long. About bloody time the cavalry starting arriving for him.

Yes his account is now protected. He may not have had a pile on but may have been mass reported

I think he's free to discuss whatever he wants, by the amount of responses he got (600+) it's clearly a topic many men have an opinion about. I know all the men in my life agree with him.

How snide and also wrong. The thread is now unlocked, so I'm off to see who else has posted. Jack is a real friend and ally to women and I've never read a word by him that was the slightest bit self-aggrandising.
