Thread 1 here
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3632380-Fascinating-tweets-about-JY-s-waxing-case-Read-here-Thread-title-edited-by-MNHQ

This is a continuation of all that is JY and their waxing cases bought against minority women in Canada.

We are a fair way in, and still are no closer to knowing what the final judgment will be, but we have lots of info. and are finally seeing this case, and all the attending issues with self ID, in the public eye and main stream press.

I know it's wrong but I can't stop humming "I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok!"

BTW, why is JY even using the scooter? I know it will be BS but what is the stated reason? What is supposed to be wrong with them?

JY is in their thirties right?Unusual for a man to want to identify and present as an elderly lady rather than a teenage girl, he's found a fairly unique take on the kink, I'll give him that. I wonder what will happen when JY goes through the menopause in a few months? Will they start going on about Tena maxi pads instead of tampons and pads worn by teenage girls?

NotBadConsidering · 27/07/2019 10:18

He probably identifies as disabled.

He. His. Him. I refuse to use they for this predatory fucker.

GirlDownUnder · 27/07/2019 10:19

why is JY even using the scooter?

How long have you got?

JY has undiagnosed neurological issues which result in unexpected collapsing, and faints. Unexplained paralysis, and can feel nothing from the waist down. Sometimes. Breast and possible other cancers. Brain tumours - will be diagnosed in 2020. Diabetes. Anorexia. Memory loss.
This list is from memory, and is not exhausted.

JY is 32.

GirlDownUnder · 27/07/2019 10:21

Ha! In essence what NotBad said.

Ooooo you misgendered - lets see if you go to the naughty step lol
I've misgendered a few times in error. So far, I've not been struck down, but I'm not brave enough to be so out there!

If * paralyzed from the waist down (I mean they godammit!) surely that would automatically except you from any form of genital waxing right there?

Alltheprettyseahorses · 27/07/2019 10:45

If JY says they can't feel anything from the waist down, how come they give detailed reviews of sex toys?

FormerMediocreMale · 27/07/2019 10:54

DanDicks twitter comments are hillarious.

I knew JY claimed transgender and transage but transabled aswel! Has also tried transrace claiming to be portuguese and brazillian when his parents are Israeli jews - i wonder if that covers transreligion? Also as he likes girls so he must be a translesbian.

He's not got many protected characteristics left to claim.

FormerMediocreMale · 27/07/2019 11:02

I wonder how one becomes transpregnant, he could maybe self-id with a doll up his jumper?

GirlDownUnder · 27/07/2019 11:04

Former steady on, mum speaks Portuguese and gramps lived in Brazil, so that's legit at least.
Ouch, I just pulled a muscle!

Seahorses trigger warning please if you're going to mention JY and sex toys together
Opps - belated trigger warning for ☝️

What we’re seeing her is a bit of transparency at last

MidniteScribbler · 27/07/2019 11:16

If paralyzed from the waist down (I mean they godammit!) surely that would automatically except you from any form of genital waxing right there?*

People with paralysis will still use various treatments. Not being able to feel does not exempt you from wanting to use beauty services.

What does make this more obvious is that someone apparently paralysed from the waist down can stand up and have an argument when they feel offended.

BoreOfWhabylon · 27/07/2019 12:25

Also the selfies JY has posted of himself in a public toilet with nary a wheelchair in sight would indicate that his paralysis is somewhat transient.

MockerstheFeManist · 27/07/2019 13:15

It's getting ever so 'Little Britain.'

First "I'm a Lady!" Now Andy and Lou:

EweSurname · 27/07/2019 13:28

It’s made it in the guardian!!

www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/jul/27/male-genitalia-week-in-patriarchy-women

GirlDownUnder · 27/07/2019 13:31

Bore for transient, on demand, paralysis here's the short version of Yanivs recovery just before today's hearing.

OP posts:
ArranUpsideDown · 27/07/2019 13:39

If those women had refused to wax Yaniv’s legs because they had a problem with her being trans then she would have been absolutely right to take action

Guardian still managing to gloss over some important details. I don't understand why it should be compulsory to allow anybody into your home for any service when they have engaged in bad faith.

RoyalCorgi · 27/07/2019 13:42

I was initially pleased to see it had made it into the Guardian, Ewe.

But what a crap piece. She's clearly trying to have it both ways. So, on the one hand, it's wrong for women to be forced to wax JY's genitalia because he is clearly a "troll".

On the other:

'The sort of outlets that normally joke about consent and women’s rights are now outraged that women are being forced to handle male genitalia against their will. The sort of writers that are normally whipping up hate against immigrants are now outraged and concerned that at least one of the beautificians that Yaniv has filed complaints against is a poor migrant. In short there has been a hell of a lot of bad faith and transphobia involved in the reporting around the case. A number of the world’s worst people have used the story as an example of “political correctness gone mad” and as a way to stoke hatred against trans people.'

It's grim stuff. Everyone else who is criticising Yaniv is doing so for the wrong reasons, but she is doing it for pure and noble reasons.

LizzieSiddal · 27/07/2019 13:43

Shock I can't believe the Guardian have printed the case.

This whole thing is very serious for the poor woman JY has targeted, however it really has shone a magnifcent light on the whole batshittery of self ID.

EweSurname · 27/07/2019 13:47

I know, it’s pretty shit. Sneering that the right wing press are over this while failing to reflect upon why it’s not shameful that the left wing press have abandoned women

LizzieSiddal · 27/07/2019 13:53

From the Guardian

If those women had refused to wax Yaniv’s legs because they had a problem with her being trans then she would have been absolutely right to take action. However, surely things are more nuanced when it comes to handling genitalia? Surely a woman shouldn’t be forced to wax testicles if that makes them feel uncomfortable? Yaniv argues that if you are a woman who is uncomfortable working with a penis then you are automatically a “transphobic bigot... committing a hate crime.” Not only is that untrue it makes a mockery of the hate crimes that are committed against trans people every day.

I wonder if she's aware that some of her collegues at the Guardian are guilty of shouting 'Transphobia', at any GC woman who dares to point out facts, such as a penis is not female.

RoyalCorgi · 27/07/2019 13:53

Exactly, Ewe.

Plus I take issue with this line:

"If those women had refused to wax Yaniv’s legs because they had a problem with her being trans then she would have been absolutely right to take action."

On the face of it, that sounds reasonable. But she completely neglects to take into account that a woman working alone from home might have very good reasons for not admitting a strange man into her house. Or that a woman might have strong religious objections to touching another man anywhere on his body. Having drawn attention to the evidence that Yaniv is a sexual predator, she fails to draw the obvious conclusion that this is a very good reason for avoiding him.

All in all, a nasty, self-righteous, dishonest piece of writing.

BoreOfWhabylon · 27/07/2019 14:27

GirlDownUnder I saw that - it's a miracle!

TurboTeddy · 27/07/2019 14:52

All in all, a nasty, self-righteous, dishonest piece of writing.

Very and used it as an opportunity to take a pop at the right wing press, neglecting the fact that there has been a publication ban and none of the MSM have covered this story.

However I find it interesting that the JY tweet included in the article also includes a tweet by Helen Joyce which name checks Megan Murphy and
Feminist Current, it all seems a bit odd almost as if the writer is sending a coded message to anyone wanting to investigate further.

AMAM8916 · 27/07/2019 15:04

He's a fat perv that wears a dress and pretends to be a woman. Does anything more need said?

These new laws are making it easy for people like him to abuse and take advantage.

If people are truly born in the wrong body and want to be the opposite gender (I have zero issues with that) they can have a sex change!

Indulging people in their fantasies where they want to be formally known as a man/woman but have their original genitalia? No.

No one should have to be 'ok' with sharing shower rooms and toilets with a man who claims he is a woman but still has a penis. Like I said before, if you feel that way, there's options. You either go fully or not.

I don't care if anyone disagrees. The world is going mad

Popchyk · 27/07/2019 15:08

From The Guardian article.

"The sort of writers that are normally whipping up hate against immigrants are now outraged and concerned that at least one of the beautificians that Yaniv has filed complaints against is a poor migrant".

The most cursory of reading about this case would make it clear that the majority of the defendants are poor immigrants.

If the right are the only ones writing about this as the author claims, then why would the left stay silent and leave it to the right to frame the issue as it wants to? The Guardian could have got ahead of the game and written a great article about the issue. But no, say nothing, then attack the reporting of others as transphobic.

"If those women had refused to wax Yaniv’s legs because they had a problem with her being trans then she would have been absolutely right to take action".

Those women don't have a problem with Yaniv being trans.

They do not offer services to people who are male, irrespective of their gender identity.

The author seems to think that these women should be forced to do Yaniv's arms and legs, but not penis and balls. But doesn't explain why.

These women do not offer their service to males. Ever. As is their right.

And this constant framing of "trans people" as the victims of this because it makes a mockery of the hate crimes that trans people face.

Nope. The victims are the poor immigrant women who are being hounded, harassed and put out of business.

People that The Guardian no longer even pretends to care about.
