This is a continuation of all that is JY and their waxing cases bought against minority women in Canada.

We are a fair way in, and still are no closer to knowing what the final judgment will be, but we have lots of info. and are finally seeing this case, and all the attending issues with self ID, in the public eye and main stream press.

I dunno though, I wonder if this circus is now detracting from the seriousness of the issue. Women's rights are in peril but this has descended into a 'hilarious' freakshow far removed from the gravity of what's at stake for women. I'm concerned it's too easy to argue now that Yaniv does not represent ordinary trans 'folk' 🙄 because the Yaniv persona is so extreme.

That full video is so utterly Canada bonkers. A predatory male dressed as a fat Elton John on a mobility scooter, an old lady assaulting journalists, utterly bemused police officers, and a mountain bike escort of a taxi to keep a paedophile safe. We just need the Monty Python team to strike up “I’m a lumberjack” in the background and the journey towards irreversible insanity will be complete.

Any Canadians reading this, thank you for being utterly batshit; hopefully the rest of the world sees it and doesn’t follow suit.

I know what you mean, and I can only talk for myself when I say no.

I have not forgotten the women at the centre of these cases, the other estheticians who've already paid up, the 2 young women who have filed police reports for what appears to be pedophilic behaviour, and any unknown victims of this person.

But sometimes laughing is the twist that annuls the awful, making it silly and delivering relief.

Oh, and I don't like to say I told you so, but I will definitely be reminding some people of acceptance without exception

What is so magical about a man saying the words "I identify as a woman, therefore I am a woman and you must treat me as a woman" - that they are then seen as beyond any questioning, or scrutiny, or ordinary standards of behaviour??

Absolutely. It's actually painful to watch now. JY is a gift to the GC argument, we pointed out the problems with self ID and were dismissed, JY has caused harm as we predicted. The problem now is people that were unaware of what was going on are angry and I fear that someone will try to harm JY, it will not be GC women but it will reinforce the idea that both sides of the argument are behaving unreasonably and we'll be back to being ignored.

JY is a predator who needs to be investigated but the BCHRT is responsible for allowing this circus. There were initially 16 complaints which should have alerted anyone not on drugs that JY was a vexatious litigant and the BCHRT should have refused to process all of them.

I think the point many people miss is that if you can be granted a GRC whilst maintaining an entirely male presentation then it means that ANY man can access female spaces because no one will dare to challenge them for fear of being called transphobic, they will not even need to claim to be trans, people will assume they are for a quiet life. Self ID will be open season for predators like JY.

Looking at the responses on the GoingLikeElsie twitter thread, there's "misgendering" all over the place. Are they all going to be banned....like Meghan Murphy?

BCHRT has already awarded costs against JY to a previous respondent of C$150 in recognition of being vexatious because JY filed, withdrew, and refiled the same complaint.
