This is a continuation of all that is JY and their waxing cases bought against minority women in Canada.

We are a fair way in, and still are no closer to knowing what the final judgment will be, but we have lots of info. and are finally seeing this case, and all the attending issues with self ID, in the public eye and main stream press.

Oooh! So the Member was quite right, social media will indeed cause se JY all sorts of problems....

The defence of what Yaniv represents will be to paint Yaniv as such a singular case, and so incredibly extreme, that Yaniv says absolutely nothing about the bigger picture and about how other similarly-motivated men might behave and seek to exploit the loopholes presented by the bonkers gender laws in Canada.

"Everything has worked fine. There's been a problem with just one individual, but guess what? As a result of going through our wonderful system, they were revealed for the uniquely bad individual they are and they've been stopped in their tracks. Let's keep things just as they are so that we continue to help those in need and can still deal properly with the vanishingly rare bad apples."

Seeing them al in the same place is a real eye opener - should your eye not have been opened by previous sightings. Hopefully this will peak a fair few and scupper the sorry toad's aspirations for being rich and famous - or whatver!

Can anybody explain what they understand of "TH" (Total Hero) in the most recent notes from the tribunal by GoingLikeElsie? Im a bit confused.

TH is the subject of a complaint by JY.

TH consulted 26 lawyers, all of whom refused to act for her and advised her to settle.

TH persisted and found the people who are now representing several respondents to JY's complaints. This representation may be of use to all of the other respondents whose cases have been consolidated and don't have representation.

Without TH, there would have been no legal representation for the respondents at the tribunal.

Hi BitOfFun, yes it's quite confusing, I think I've worked it out though. I'm just going from memory here (super busy day ahead so no time to back track and check) please anyone feel free to add or correct where necessary...

Here goes, TH was mentioned way back in Elsie's earlier threads under different initials. I think the initial change is to avoid confusion as possibly another respondent has the same initials? Or perhaps for TH privacy?

TH was one of the many beauticians who refused service to JY. At the threat of further action (unsure if claims court or this tribunal) TH response was basically bring it on. TH then attempt to engage lawyer after lawyer to represent her only to be refused. Eventually found a lawyer (unsure if independent lawyer or connected to group representing the current respondents) to take her case. At some point in negotiations TH lawyer advised that they intended to introduce JY internet posts into evidence (unclear if found by TH or lawyer). JY dropped the claim.

TH has been coming to the tribunal to...

Offer moral support to current respondents.
See JY finally get their long awaited comeuppance.
Get a front row seat to the unfolding shitshow.

I think it's all of the above.

Without TH, there would have been no legal representation for the respondents at the tribunal.

• it could also be argued that JY will benefit as verbally they can’t even lie straight in bed, and they’ll have time to hone, and fact check their argument. However the JY ego is such I think costly mistakes will be committed to paper (no getting round that one), and my guess is a war and peace epic will be produced in such a meandering fashion it’ll lose the point, and damn the author. Also there is no way JY will stick to the points below.

Today, in a bizarre episode of the Canadaland podcast, Jesse Brown and guest co-host Zane Schwartz went out of their way to pretend the Jessica Yaniv story that has trended worldwide is just an illusion or in some way manufactured, in part by The Post Millennial, as illegitimate outrage.

Brown actually says: “There’s this trans person, this imaginary hypothetical, trans person whom transphobic reactionaries have been imagining for years. This is kind of a trans bogeyman invoked in hypothetical situations … a pervert, a predator who gets off trespassing into women’s washrooms.”

Schwartz chimes in: “There has been no evidence to suggest it exists... It’s a convenient fiction.”

Brown agrees. “It’s something that isn’t real. Until very recently. Lo and behold, now this imaginary trans bogeyman seems to exist at least to extreme conservative media.”

Morgane Oger, vice-president of the BC NDP and the most prominent transgender advocate in B.C. at the moment, has taken to her blog to address concerns about online allegations of inappropriate behaviour by Yaniv.

Regarding the genital waxing cases, Oger blogged: “I told Jessica that I felt she would have a very difficult time with these cases and that although I support the right of all trans persons to access services free of discrimination,her past history deeply undermined her intentions and exposed her and the transgender community to contempt,” wrote Oger, who is also a previous Federal NDP election nomination candidate for Vancouver Centre.

Oger has stated on Twitter that Yaniv is an “alarming” person and that her tribunal case is misdirected.

“In the specific case under consideration, when I learned that the respondents were persons working at home alone, I stopped supporting Yaniv. As I have told her, these were not the right respondents nor was she the right complainant for a test of this difficult situation,” tweeted Oger.

That Yaniv is not “representative” of trans people is surely true. Since I became interested in the malign consequences of gender self-ID laws, I’ve gotten to know quite a few trans people, and some have become good friends. But again, Yaniv’s atypicality is irrelevant.

These cases concern not only a male who seeks to coerce women into handling male genitals, but laws that can be leveraged to facilitate that coercion.
It is quite correct that there are horrible people in every subgroup, male and female, straight and gay, cis and trans. But Yaniv’s behaviour doesn’t stand in isolation from the politics of gender: Yaniv’s behaviour has been enabled by trans-rights activists in two separate ways.

This protest is being held at the tribunal today, organised by Jenn Ricky Smith, and is due to start in 3 hours.
