Someone mentioned on one of those tweets that another transwomen won a silver in a different event this week at the games. Does anyone know who it was? Google is not helping.

@HairyPotter I’ve seen the same but like you can’t find any more than the Twitter comments.

I think the event mentioned was Squash and from what I can see the Samoa Women’s Team took silver in that event.

This just makes me feel sick for those poor women with a silver and bronze medal. You know damn well that if another woman had won gold they would have been fine but when it's a person saying they are a woman it's completely different.

It is absolutely disgusting that anyone is cheering Laurel Hubbard on. This is not brave or inspiring. It is a blatant stampeding on women and women’s sports.

It’s very quiet on here. 🤔 I wonder where certain posters, that delight in telling us TWAW and that we’re all awful bigots/transphobic, are. It really is a conundrum. I daresay they’re all just putting together a legitimate and convincing argument, as to why this is fair and will be along to educate us shortly.

I also noticed how the Twitter TRAs who monitor Mumsnet and flag up all kinds of trivial stuff have somehow managed to miss the sports debate entirely - including the brilliantly successful WPUK meeting.

S1 they won't want to bring attention to this thread, the photos show so much, the comments on Twitter make it clear what people think. There is no defence for a rich white bloke treating young women this way.

Hubbard is not courageous Stower is the one that has shown immense courage. 18 years old, victim of DV a champion and rightful gold medallist.

Women cheated out of medals by a 41 year old MtF.

A New Zealand transgender weightlifter has won two gold medals and a silver in women’s weightlifting at the Samoa 2019 Pacific Games.

Laurel Hubbard, 41, formerly known as redacted Hubbard, scored first place in both the Women’s +89kg Snatch and the Women’s +89kg and second place in the Women’s +89kg Clean and Jerk.

In second place was Samoa’s 18-year-old weightlifter Feagaiga Stowers, who won her nation’s second gold medal last year after Hubbard was forced to withdraw due to an elbow injury.
