I'll repost - in case it was missed.

Petrol It's not about how you treat trans people. There are a significant number of transsexuals (of which I am one) who do NOT believe the ideology....

...who believe in single-sex spaces for women, safeguarding, that vulnerable women NEED to be protected from men/male violence in institutions like prisons.

I don't really care how you want to spin the statistics - this is going on RIGHT NOW. The "trans cult" is basically a men's rights movement based on "fluffy feelz" rather than basic biology. There are no rights that trans people are being denied - it's a movement of colonisation and erasure.

The women on this board are not some strange cult. They're some of the most educated, rational and insightful people I've come across - who have taught me a lot. Everything you ever need to know about what is going on is on these boards or in innumerable scientific articles.

Nobody is saying that trans people should be treated badly or without empathy but women's rights NEED to be protected.

PetrolBastard · 13/07/2019 18:35

Someone who is trans gets treated exactly like everyone else by me. I am not going to respond to them specifically because of that. I haven't got time to answer everyone's questions. If I see something pertinent and I'm free to answer, I'll do so.

PetrolBastard · 13/07/2019 18:36

What's your question?

Ereshkigal · 13/07/2019 18:36

No, a male fraudster cannot go in with the women. Did you mean to say a trans woman?

A "trans woman" who has committed fraud would be a male fraudster. Do keep up.

Datun · 13/07/2019 18:37

That a transsexual on this thread believes in single six spaces. Do you disagree with them?

RosesAndRaindrops · 13/07/2019 18:37

I do love that access to this site via this board has increased what was it, twelvefold or sixteen fold? In one year? And this has now become one of the most popular boards on the site?

Maybe it is, why is that automatically a good thing for GC viewpoints though?
I bet a lot don't agree with you or some of the more extreme views, but don't feel able to post because of precisely what's happening on here.

LangCleg · 13/07/2019 18:38

So, about solitary confinement being the solution...

Ereshkigal · 13/07/2019 18:38

I think you'll find it's a prerequisite for being a "trans woman", being male. They tend to get a bit tetchy when biologically female people suggest they are.

Datun · 13/07/2019 18:39

Maybe it is, why is that automatically a good thing for GC viewpoints though?

I'll let you work it out

Ereshkigal · 13/07/2019 18:39

They being TRAs.

RosesAndRaindrops · 13/07/2019 18:42

Someone who is trans gets treated exactly like everyone else by me. I am not going to respond to them specifically because of that
Exactly, I've said I'm OK with treating transwomen as women, is my viewpoint supposed to suddenly just change because a transwoman has posted or something?
Confused

FeministCat · 13/07/2019 18:42

It's extraordinary that a transwoman on this thread is being ignored.

Not really. Petrol does not give a shit about differences and apparently does not think there are differences, so Petrol is being just as dismissive to hamster who they see as a woman as to any other women here interested in protecting sex segregated spaces.

PetrolBastard · 13/07/2019 18:43

I don't care whether someone who disagrees with me is trans. This is MY opinion.

Hamster00 · 13/07/2019 18:43

Ereshkigal I have no issue with being called "he" or referred to with male pronouns. That damn pesky "Y" chromosome and all that...

I actually saw/love Fionne's t-shirt and want one.

RosesAndRaindrops · 13/07/2019 18:44

I'd go with the latter tbh. I did notice the "convenience" with which my points were glossed over and the personal attacks continued

I haven't personally attacked anyone though.

Datun · 13/07/2019 18:44

So, roses, what do you think of the 76 kids identifying as trans

This is the seventh time I've asked.

FeministCat · 13/07/2019 18:45

Oh confirmed. Roses also does not care what women have to say about protecting their sex segregated spaces. Transwomen to Roses are women, so everyone gets the same misogynist treatment:

I've said I'm OK with treating transwomen as women, is my viewpoint supposed to suddenly just change because a transwoman has posted or something?

JackyHolyoake · 13/07/2019 18:46

I bet a lot don't agree with you or some of the more extreme views, but don't feel able to post because of precisely what's happening on here.

The attendance / participation figures would not be sustained if there was no agreement, would they?

That is to say, if masses of people genuinely objected to what can be read here in Feminism Chat, the viewing numbers would decrease with substantial alacrity, surely?

MIdgebabe · 13/07/2019 18:47

Well you see I treat people as people. I understand why sometimes we need to treat Male and female sexes differently. Healthcare, for example. Dignity. Sport.

So i can not treat transwomen as women in general becuase in general I don’t differentiate between male and female , but when I do differentiate, it’s their sex that matters

What I will never take on face value is a man saying trust me I am a woman really.

Licklep · 13/07/2019 18:48

But @RosesAndRaindrops you said you do agree with sex segregated spaces e.g. separate prisons so i dont get why you are now saying you dont??? Just to cause arguments? Hmm confused

RosesAndRaindrops · 13/07/2019 18:49

Oh confirmed. Roses also does not care what women have to say about protecting their sex segregated spaces

I kind of do though when I've said that I don't agree with anyone just self IDing into places and think that's not a good idea, if I didn't care, why would I think that?

Datun · 13/07/2019 18:50

I kind of do though when I've said that I don't agree with anyone just self IDing into places and think that's not a good idea, if I didn't care, why would I think that?

But what do you think of 76 kids transitioning in one school?

FeministCat · 13/07/2019 18:51

So, roses, what do you think of the 76 kids identifying as trans

This is the seventh time I've asked.

I am holding it so maybe Roses will see the question the 8th time!

RosesAndRaindrops · 13/07/2019 18:51

But @RosesAndRaindrops you said you do agree with sex segregated spaces e.g. separate prisons so i dont get why you are now saying you dont???

What I actually said was I don't see why it's a problem for people if transwomen are kept segregated and in a separate wing like it was stated earlier on in the thread.

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 13/07/2019 18:55

So, roses, what do you think of the 76 kids identifying as trans?

We might get at reply at some point.
