Right. That's it. I'm just going to give in and say it. I appreciate Kiwi Farms. 🥝**
It seems incredible to me looking back. Due to working in NHS I used to be very careful on Twitter, nothing Granny or the NHS would disapprove of. So mostly The Archers and the odd little harmless snippet in my own little uncontroversial bubble. Up until about Feb last year (I can date it!) I'd seen the odd article in probably the DM newspapers that would come under the "mad world/going to the dogs/pc gone mad" umbrella and not really thought too much about it. Minor outrage I suppose but hey, it was pretty niche and hardly likely to impact real life.
Then I came across a reference to #peaktrans and that led me to a Mumsnet peak trans thread and that was it. Rapid rapid peak. So then I started following GC women on twitter and it has snowballed massively and opened my eyes to so much. I'm still anonymous and fairly careful here and on twitter but I'd be prepared to argue biology and Do No Harm with the nhs if I was ever doxxed. I think I could justify my twitter if it came to it.
Anyway point of all this - I'd never heard of 🥝 farms before. That's another thing I have to thank Mumsnet for.
Maybe it really is a radicalisation portal after all.
There's no point in going there and being prissy. There's a lot I don't understand over there (lingo and thread conventions etc and all those little emojis) but I've worked out enough to appreciate blunt honesty, internet detecting skills and archiving, and really - up until the recent lifting of the publication ban on JY 🥝 was practically the only place to find out the full story. Bless them.
