So the story of the child who stuck to his guns and argued that there are only two genders, ( I’m thinking read sex here.) and recorded the conversation with the member of staff who argued that “not all policies are scientific.” Has now been permanently expelled according to twitter. Wtf. I’m sure the school will say hi him can’t have children recording staff. God forbid the outside world might know what kids are being indoctrinated into.

He should have either been expelled at once, or allowed back.

The school is hiding behind a social media policy, but the agenda is clear. No questioning the new world order. It doesn't take 3 weeks to decide to expel/exclude for breaking the rules he broke.

I want the name of the school. The names of the education officials who made the decision, if it was above school level.

And I agree with those saying that one real risk of all this is the number of boys who will gravitate right and then stay there. And potentially be radicalised.

PierreBezukov · 03/07/2019 08:38

coyo this is not just one rotten apple in the barrel. This is endemic and typical of SNP politics. Brush it off at your peril.

LangCleg · 03/07/2019 08:47

I'm hearing that a women's group has made contact with Murray.

So that's good. He'll have a range of support politically speaking.

FormerMediocreMale · 03/07/2019 08:51

I agree with others wistleblowing protection needs to cover school children.

Aberdeenshire schools are under county control so it is unlikely he will be allowed to complete his Advanced Highers in any local school now, the city has some private schools though.

I thought the right to an education was a human right, although as he is over 16 they can probably get round that. He should use raised money to fight this through the courts to prevent other whistleblowers being treated this way.

FormerMediocreMale · 03/07/2019 08:52

That's good Lang.

Childrenofthestones · 03/07/2019 08:59

Evenquieterlife33. Said......
"DrEm- this will absolutely silence other children at the school. I’m sure there are plenty of children in that class who agree with the expelled boy who now think they shouldn’t speak out."

Which undoubtedly is the whole point of his expulsion.

Owlchemist · 03/07/2019 09:04

Surely he's been expelled for filming the member of staff and putting it on social media. Whilst I wholeheartedly agree with the point he was making, we cannot have kids filming staff

I disagree. If you need to prove a teacher said X thing or acts a certain way, you film them. I would certainly covertly record teachers I was meeting with if I thought what they were going to say is ridiculous, for proof.

Lamaha · 03/07/2019 09:12

I donated £5 anonymously to the campaign and left a comment praising him but also indicating the difference between sex and gender. I received a mail saying that my comment was under review as it possibly goes against their guidelines. Later I was told the comment had been allowed.
Among the last donors was a named doner who gave £500, who said he was from Aberdeenshire and invited Murray to contact him. I found that very heartening. The donations were coming in at the rate of about 6 per hour at the time. A pity it's down, if it is.

Oh. I just checked. The fundraiser is still up. II took a screenshot of the £500 donation but I won't post a link here as it's forbidden

TheRedBarrows · 03/07/2019 09:21

He needs support because he voiced and maintained scientific truths in an educational setting.

He should not be used as a political pawn in any one lobby group’s agenda.

Be it U.S far right or GC feminists.

Unless he takes a pro active decision about that.

In stating his understanding of biology he may have had no clue as to the TRA / GC war that is going on.

HorsewithnoPissToTake · 03/07/2019 09:23

Has the school stated how many "genders" there are?

And which ones are need to, say, make a baby..

GrumpyCatLives · 03/07/2019 10:36

If he can't complete school, then he needs to use this to pay for private school, surely?

twelvecolourfulbirds · 03/07/2019 11:39

The school is Mearns Academy

mearns.aberdeenshire.sch.uk

LangCleg · 03/07/2019 11:59

Technically, we didn't expel him.

What snide, cavilling, pusillanimous arseholes.

FormerMediocreMale · 03/07/2019 12:06

I didn't think it would be long before the school was named now the lads been expelled - although they have carefully worded it to say otherwise.

Gaslighting is a form of abuse and the video highlights how school children are being gaslit en masse, they are being told to believe a falsehood and not to question it under any circumstances. Considering the Scottish governments shelving of TRA demands I think and hope this comes back to bite them.

fascinated · 03/07/2019 12:25

So that’s what you have to do to get expelled these days. Interesting when violent and disruptive kids are kept in school. Disappointing.

FormerMediocreMale · 03/07/2019 12:26

Have emailed my MSP not sure if she is the MSP for Laurencekirk or not but she is GC.

I said that whistleblowing protection should cover school pupils also, that the video was in the public interest as it exposed the indoctrination of pupils into a belief system and that they were not allowed to question it. I said people should be allowed to believe scientific facts regarding chromosomes and sexual organs and not be forced to believe in feelings instead.

Goosefoot · 03/07/2019 12:44

I am sensitive to teacher's being uncomfortable with kids filming like this, because frankly a lot of kids in their teen years don't have good judgement. If we say, it's acceptable in a whistleblowing context, which I think it should be, it does become a problem where you may potentially have kids doing this regularly, saying it is to expose some problem, and someone having to sort out if it is legitimate and teachers getting the blowback anyway even if they were in the right.

And I do wonder if the teacher in this case is really the one who needs to be the focus. I don't think it was a great performance but they are also in a really impossible position. Many teachers are committed to being there to help kids and put up with a lot of political bullshit to do it.

But I also think it's necessary for the general public to see just what is going on in the classrooms on this issue. People are not on board with this and it sounds so crazy they need to see it to believe it.

littlbrowndog · 03/07/2019 12:51

Yeah goosefoot but it was the teacher tha5 brought it up when the whole class was registering on a website an£ there was only 2 choices male or female

The teacher brought it up that was ridiculous that there was only 2 choices to the class

Then Murray said there is only 2 genders.

So the teacher brought it up to whole class. And Murray responded and that’s when it all started

Popchyk · 03/07/2019 12:55

This is the school's Twitter account for RMPS (Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studies).

twitter.com/mearnsrmps?lang=en

They retweet Stonewall, Gendered Intelligence, queer theory, the lot. And not much else besides (like religion, morality or philosophy for example).

I think the school really needs to have a look at that.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 03/07/2019 12:56

I'm hearing that a women's group has made contact with Murray.

That's very good news, LangCleg.

FormerMediocreMale · 03/07/2019 12:57

From the interview with Murray the teacher has a lot to answer for. It was not an LGBT lesson the teacher started complaining about a third party website having only 2 genders. The lad said what's wrong with that there are only 2 genders and was kicked out of class for it! Removing a pupil from class is taking away their opportunity to learn and should not be done so lightly. Teachers should not be pushing their beliefs onto pupils. Having LGBT lessons is a separate matter where discussion and debate should be encouraged, no beliefs political, religious or otherwise should ever be forced without question as this teacher was doing.

Popchyk · 03/07/2019 13:01

Murray seems level-headed. Thankfully.

He's not gone running to the press because he, quite rightly, wants to prioritise his education.

I wish him well. Hope he can get what he wants while maintaining relative privacy.

MockerstheFeManist · 03/07/2019 13:09

They absolutely did expel him.

They did not exclude him since you cannot do that to anyone over the school-leaving age.

And a school that promotes Queer Theory on its social media pages????

Yikes.
