So the story of the child who stuck to his guns and argued that there are only two genders, ( I’m thinking read sex here.) and recorded the conversation with the member of staff who argued that “not all policies are scientific.” Has now been permanently expelled according to twitter. Wtf. I’m sure the school will say hi him can’t have children recording staff. God forbid the outside world might know what kids are being indoctrinated into.

First of all, Murray was suspended for a week.
At the end of the week, he was suspended for a further two weeks.
At the end of that, he was expelled.
The school never wanted him back, because he has the courage to question, he has integrity and they wouldn't break him down.
He has been made an example of, a warning to others what will happen if they challenge this ideology.
This is very dangerous, because it negatively impacts on the education of all the other pupils at that school, and probably many other schools in Scotland.
Thanks to Murray the cat is well and truly out of the bag and ordinary people, parents will have their eyes opened to the reality of the situation.

Is that really what the school wants? Very hard to control the story when that happens, particularly when as they will be restricted about what they can say about the incident given that Murray is under 18.

I think what is critical now is to make it clear that Murray is not alone and he has a lot of support - either by donating or watching the youtube interview and liking it or any other means we can think of. He himself says it is going to be very difficult to find a school to take him given his history and yet he wants to do his Advanced Highers. Brave young man!

The content of his YouTube channel and his blog are extreme MRA/incel stuff, with lots of racist and homophobic content too. The comments under the videos are spine chilling stuff. Neo Nazis etc.

This is awful - I feel this keenly, because I have a DS exactly his age, currently doing his A levels, and it would be devastating for him to not continue in yr13.

Policy on 'whistleblowing' should definitely be extended to school children. That's what this was. It wasn't him uploading a video of his teacher onto YT for laughs - it was demonstrating blatantly unfair treatment.

You're right. And maybe I'm too harsh. I know boys of that age can easily get into that shit. It's a misanthropic version of teenage angst. One of my DS and his mates got into some worrying right wing stuff for a while, though not as bad as this. I was relieved when he grew out of it though.

Surely the boy is whistleblowing therefore expulsion isn't appropriate? I don't think schools in Scotland have a good whistleblowing structure. It's very much the head teacher / council versus kids/?teachers. Schools seem to operate in silos and if you have a crap head teacher you as a child or teacher don't have much to redress? If you'd watched the video you'd have heard the I, Hypocrite bloke saying he felt guilty for being responsible for the video going viral. He very clearly says that he spotted it on reddit and decided to share it with his followers. There are legions of transgenderists constantly discrediting anyone who dares to mention the Emperors gnarly dangly bits as right wing bigots, they don't need help from us when it comes to making shit up.

I think the name of the school, the teacher and the decision makers behind Murray's expulsion should now be made public. Other parents should be aware of what kind of school it is, enabling them to make informed decisions when choosing the kind of education they want for their children.

I also hope that there will be a school nearby that still follows the proud tradition of Scottish enlightenment. That they become aware of the situation, recognise his merit, and come forward to offer him a place in a school where pupils are still being encouraged to develop their critical thinking skills, rather than brow beaten into parroting untruths under threat of expulsion.

The lad was in the right, the video was not a piss take or creeping on a female teacher. The rules need exceptions written into them. Should be no expulsion if exposing an abuse of authority.
