Barrister Sarah Phillimore and the NSPCC

christinarossetti19 · 14/06/2019 21:56

Sarah Phillimore has reported the NSPCC to the charities commission, as they refused to confirm that either the allegations made about wanking@work are false or that they are investigating matter.

As she says, this is another Oxfam or Kids Company waiting to happen. Thank you Sarah for devoting your expertise to this.

Spero As it happens I am attending a talk tomorrow by Crowd Justice, would it be helpful to mention your plans or get some particular information from them?

Spero · 18/06/2019 14:04

Have spoken to Harry and got some useful tips.

I have also been asked to post something on Twitter that 'proves' this is really me, which frankly I am quite annoyed about.

Over the years I have been fairly outspoken and found my user name here published in the Daily Mail in 2014 after Hemming gave it to them; I have had my address, telephone number and photograph published on line AND my daughter was named and people directed to her instagram account.

i have already secured the conviction of one man for this (he pleaded guilty) and I am after the others.

Anyone who makes themselves identifiable in this jurisdiction and who puts me or my daughter at risk of harm, i will pursue.

So no, I am not a performing monkey and I have already paid some serous price for speaking up in the way I do. If you don't think I am who I say am, then don't get involved. It really is that simple.

Spero · 18/06/2019 14:06

@PygmyHippo - thanks, any info or tips welcome. I will speak to a lawyer tomorrow about being my Crowd Justice contact etc. I like the fact that they keep the funds separate from me - I have already been criticised over another venture of some kind of fraud, so it would be good to knock that on the head early doors.

Popchyk · 18/06/2019 14:13

I remember the Hemmings stuff on here, but wasn't aware of anything since then.

Hope you and your daughter are okay, Spero. You don't deserve any of this crap.

Remember that you don't have to "front" all this yourself. You've already done loads.

Perhaps other people/organisations would come forward and it could be a team effort of concerned parents and child protection experts. A completely new organisation maybe? Bit like Harry's Fair Cop campaign which exists independently of Harry.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 18/06/2019 15:08

Another thank you from me, Spero and I too will donate to a crowdfunder. And you're right, no need to "prove" who you are on Twitter - I'm doubting the motivations of those who would require it, tbh.

eurochick · 18/06/2019 15:36

Spero well done for doing this. I'm now following you on Twitter.

I'm very grateful to anyone willing to put their head above the parapet on this issue.

christinarossetti19 · 18/06/2019 15:45

You're right popchyk the NSPCC has been groomed by queer politics, narcissistic egotists which seem to gravitate towards mid management in charities and the Orwellian scale lie that adults who identify as T or any of the other letters in the Stonewall alphabet (except L natch) are more vulnerable than children and that their needs trump everyone else's.

Sarah's message - that children come first and foremost and it's them that are the NSPCC's 'priority' - needs daylight. There are so many people that would wholeheartedly agree with this, but not recognise how systematically the NSPCC is working against it.

I have also been asked to post something on Twitter that 'proves' this is really me, which frankly I am quite annoyed about.

@Spero

I imagine this is because someone on FWR may have information for you which they'd like to communicate via PM as they are not on Twitter - or something like that*.

Don't take it personally. There was a data breach here by an intern who also turned out to be a transactivist, who had access to our accounts and posted identifying data online.

So very few of us now trust the MN PM system and do not entrust communication to it unless very sure we know to whom we are speaking.

Just another one of the depredations non-compliant women face in the brave and stunning onslaught, I'm afraid.

(*Not me, but I'd take bets that's what it is.)

Jux · 18/06/2019 16:34

Spero, I remember you very well; over the years I've come across you many, many times. I remember the CPR being set up!

I will have no hesitation in donating to something set up by you.

Floomph · 18/06/2019 17:15

Just wanted to chime in with my support Spero. You're doing a very brave and wonderful think and I also want to donate.

Thank you for doing this, Spero. I'll chip in.

ethelredonagoodday · 18/06/2019 17:39

Following with interest and thanks! 👏🏻

Spero · 18/06/2019 18:01

A fair point @LangCleg but the person messaging didn't say anything about 'people wanting to share confidential information'.

And I have already had a number of messages via my Chambers email which I would have thought was exactly the way to go if anyone was worried about my bona fides.

I know exactly how frightening it is to have your personal details spread about online by people who wish to do you harm. So I am not critical about people who are worried out that. But if I was some lurking transactivist then presumably I would have also set up a fake Twitter account as well as a fake mumsnet account - and crikey look how deep my cover is, I think I first posted here in 2008!

AnyFucker · 18/06/2019 18:38

It would be a very long con, for sure Smile

Spero · 18/06/2019 19:28

I've really INVESTED in this deception to be sure

BWHAHAHAHAH Gotcha!

Sorry. know its no laughing matter. But I have been outed by bloody John Hemming in the Daily Mail. I don't think there is anything else I can do to prove my bona fides.

AnyFucker · 18/06/2019 19:40

Arf

PenguindreamsofDraco · 18/06/2019 19:56

Blimey you've come a long way since City Wink! Will definitely chip in when you start the crowd funder, brave woman.

CodenameVillanelle · 18/06/2019 19:58

Penguin I love seeing your name pop up on here! It's Eric in disguise. I name change a lot because I keep getting reported when I hang about too long in one name Hmm

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 18/06/2019 20:00

While you're here Spero (and apologies if I have the wrong person!) I seem to recall that you set up a really good website about family law which lots.of useful advice - can you (or anyone else) link it for me?

AnyFucker · 18/06/2019 20:39

here it is-child protection resource

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 18/06/2019 22:07

Thanks AF Flowers

tabouleh · 18/06/2019 22:28

Another long standing FWRer adding to the thanks + pledging support Spero.

Would freedom of information requests be of any use to this investigation? Do the statutory powers confer an obligation to respond to FOI?

Spero · 22/06/2019 22:34

Disappointingly neutered piece in the Sunday Mirror but at least it confirms the NSPCC are undertaking an internal investigation. However now claimed the videos filmed in a Travelodge?

truthisarevolutionaryact · 22/06/2019 22:46

I think the key phrase is "while on a work trip".
It's reassuring to hear that the NSPCC have suspended him. It did feel as if we were in a parallel universe where behaviour that would get any other employee sacked from every workplace in the country appeared to be being sanctioned by the NSPCC. Evidently they have remembered that they're meant to be a child safeguarding charity.
