Yes, some of us ‘terves’ are (or at least, were) on the left.
I personally helped organise one of your ‘Unseat’ events.
Since then though, I have become increasingly aware of how little respect men on the left have for women, and as someone who grew up on a council estate and ‘worked’ in the sex ‘industry’, I’m thoroughly sick of middle class men telling me that prostitution is a choice, and really no different to any other McJob.
Then Munroe Bergdorf told women they shouldn’t talk about reproductive rights because it wasn’t inclusive and Cancer Research called me a cervix-haver and The Guardian called me a menstruator and here I am, on Mumsnet.
Because it’s full of women who are sick and tired of being told we can’t have boundaries, or equal political representation, and that penises are a female sex organ.
