Lil' OJ is being demolished as he tries to defend Bergdorf etc

Look now if you're interested as it will no doubt be deleted soon.

I gave in and forced myself through the interview.

MB needs to take responsibility for MB. It was made out the issues with L'Oreal and Labour were because of hounding out. If you are going to be a brand in the public eye and you fuck up by tweeting things people pick you up for then that's on you.

Also absolutely NO mention of the safeguarding issue. It was again made out to be because the NSPCC gave into transphobic pressure and the management are all out of touch old men.

At the very end excerpts from the NSPCC statement are used BUT only the bits that say they are sorry and shouldn't have done things the way they did and not the bit that explains why they won't work with MB.

Shoddy, shoddy journalism.

Also, I couldn't take my eyes of MB's teeth. They reminded me of my gran's dentures.

OJ did interview this female MP Laura Parker. She is not LGBT.

placemats · 13/06/2019 16:05

Why does he speak differently to Laura?

Compare the two, Monroe/Parker you can see the difference.

Plus: his arms at the beginning.

JackyHolyoake · 13/06/2019 16:10

Why does he speak differently to Laura?

Because Laura is a woman.

terryleather · 13/06/2019 16:10

I think you're absolutely right, only I won't use the word "rights" to describe the demands of these men. Let's call it what it is: a male sexual entitlement movement.

I've finally gotten round to reading Sheila Jeffrey's Unpacking Queer Politics and in light of that much of this is sadly unsurprising.

Public sex as an expression of gay male culture that cannot be questioned, transgressing boundaries as a good in and of itself and no fucks given as to what effect that might have on anybody else , the centering of males and their sexual entitlement - it's all there.

Gay men or straight men if we're not centering their cocks then we're not doing it right.

Has there ever been a society where transgressing boundaries = good has been a successful principle?

It makes me think of Paglia's claim/observation that this kind of "efflorescence of transgender phenomena" always accompanies the decadent end phases of a civilisation.

DeRigueurMortis · 13/06/2019 16:41

Well that is a new low for OJ.

When I thought it wasn't possible to sink any further the guy simply goes subterranean...

CaveMum · 13/06/2019 16:45

Just tread carefully folks, I’m seeing suggestions online that the “wank in the office toilet” video has been doctored to add the reference to “children’s charity” in the title.

It’s obvious that that is where it has taken place (video is 1 year old, he’s worked at NSPCC for 4 years) and it is still utterly reprehensible but we need to be very careful on what we say and share because if people can prove that the title has been doctored they can bring into question the validity of it as a whole and accuse us of sharing false information.

Check, check and triple check your sources!

Very much this. Someone said yesterday "Mary Whitehouse was right" and I've been musing on this all day. I was a teenager when Mary Whitehouse was all over the media (as it then was - 3 TV channels, radio and the papers) and I saw her the way most other young people did, as a silly, uptight woman who wanted to kill everyone's fun.

I find myself now looking at where we are - when semingly large numbers of men are revelling in their "right" to be sexually active and explicit anywhere they choose and always at the expense of women's privacy and safety and - most sinister of all - children's privacy and safety.

Goosefoot · 13/06/2019 17:07

I feel similarly. I find myself looking back at warnings given by people I thought were a little crazy and thinking they seem to have been right. As far as the particular things, some I thought were wrong in the first place and some I thought were fine, but I always thought the results they were predicting seemed really unlikely.

Now I feel like I have to revisit the various questions wholesale.

TheInebriati · 13/06/2019 17:10

CaveMum Why do people here need to to tread carefully? The people crying 'fake' are the ones who need to do that.

The police can see from the original data file if its been photoshopped or not.
I can't think how anyone would have a photo of the inside of the NSPCC toilets, or have the metadata of his phone and location to do the doctoring, but there you go. Anything is possible isn't it.

JackyHolyoake · 13/06/2019 17:12

Yes .. some older women know the proclivities of men all too well, eh?

Goosefoot · 13/06/2019 17:13

I understood the title of the video to have been added later, it is worth being clear about that sort of thing.

Outofinspiration · 13/06/2019 17:25

I am getting mixed messages from some: it's perfectly normal to wank in work toilets, and gender neutral toilets are safe - it's not as if anyone is doing anything sexual there.

Yes - what happened to 'just wanting a place to pee'?

Outofinspiration · 13/06/2019 17:26

Yes, I don't think he put the 'children' s charity' bit in the title, that was added by someone else.

I think it's worth being clear about that, just in the name of fact checking.
