The slides & those supporting them are also demonstrating that they have no awareness of Safeguarding, recognising potential abuse/trauma, social/emotional/behavioural issues in children.
See @MRKHvoice twitter comment:
"I find this troubling. I work in SEND education. To be specific, I work with children who cannot access the education system. The majority of my students have behavioural, mental health and neurological issues that impact this. According to this they're all trans.
This begs some serious questions about "acceptance without exception" and "affirmation only". Most of the kids I work with have been victims of abuse or have witnessed abuse. Most are struggling with complex and often comorbid conditions. My job is to pick that apart with them.
It's never one thing. There's never a quick fix. If a child is struggling we find ways to help them understand themselves and navigate the world. The majority of children I work with lack the emotional literacy they need to describe what's wrong. I don't take them at face value.
They look to adults to set boundaries and give them the language and understanding they need to explain how they feel and deal with complex emotions. Were I, as a trusted adult, to tell them "you're born in the wrong body, is all, we'll just change that", they would believe me.
I would, however, be doing them a huge disservice. The thing that is troubling them does not go away, even if we medicate it. And, believe me, many of my students are medicated already, so I know this for a fact.
It terrifies me that these vulnerbale children could fall victim to this unquestioning mentality. Could be labelled as something they are not, and the behaviours that are cries for help never listened to, nor properly addressed.
They could be set off on a lifetime of the pursuit of the impossible, to escape their body, when, in reality, what they are trying to escape is trauma. And no adult would address it nor question it.
If the trans lobby want to claim vulnerbale and damaged children in this way, they have a responsibility to ask questions, pursue all avenues, not pretend their is a "one size fits all" quick fix. However, they are unwilling to do that. Look at the reaction to @thetimes articles.
I could not, as a professional, work with an organisation like this. They'd make it impossible for me to ask questions and explore the avenues I need to, to make the child whole and return them to the education system, ready to learn and grow, which is the right of every child.
It seems little wonder that rates of depression, anxiety and self harm are high among children who find themselves in the clutches of @ Mermaids_Gender, look what they might be ignoring, the issues not being addressed, as they're told their genitals must be removed to cure them."

Vulnerable children & young people will always be put at additional risk by adults whose ideological commitment & lack of expertise makes them blind to potential serious Safeguarding concerns.
