They are keeping quiet because if they draw attention to the article people will read it and see them exactly for what they are. There is no come back or counter argument. Don't worry though the lack of acknowledgement speaks volumes.

Fazackerley · 08/04/2019 11:36

Has anyone asked Stonewall what they think? Or Mermaids?

GerryblewuptheER · 08/04/2019 11:36

Wow 4 articles

How much more will it take.

Some parts of the reports are horrific. The lesbians who find themselves popular by becoming trans.

The suspected paedophile

The three yr old...

If that doesn't alarm people nothing will.

R0wantrees · 08/04/2019 11:37

I put on BBC News channel to see if there was any coverage, and Victoria Derbyshire was interviewing a trans grime rapper (FTM). He was talking about being called a lesbian as an insult in primary school - and ultimately decided to transition

Times: "It feels like conversion therapy for gay children, say clinicians
Ex-NHS staff fear that homophobia is driving a surge in ‘transgender’ young people"

(extract)
"So many potentially gay children were being sent down the pathway to change gender, two of the clinicians said there was a dark joke among staff that “there would be no gay people left”.

“It feels like conversion therapy for gay children,” one male clinician said. “I frequently had cases where people started identifying as trans after months of horrendous bullying for being gay,” he told The Times.

“Young lesbians considered at the bottom of the heap suddenly found they were really popular when they said they were trans.”

Another female clinician said: “We heard a lot of homophobia which we felt nobody was challenging. A lot of the girls would come in and say, ‘I’m not a lesbian. I fell in love with my best girl friend but then I went online and realised I’m not a lesbian, I’m a boy. Phew.’ ” (continues)

The impact on young lesbians has been one of the key points made by 'Get The L Out' who protested Pride London last year.

Framed by Pride, Stonewall, Mermaids etc as an act of 'hatred'

See Dr Julia Long's speech August 2018 which discusses the treatment of young lesbians by private plastic surgeon, Dr Christopher Inglefield on TV series 'Transformation Street'

'Transgenderism & Lesbian Erasure'

& reminder of how Dr Julia Long & a small group of women, many of whom were lesbians were removed by force from a recent corporate diversity event hosted by Accenture:

. During sessions they would sit in the waiting room outside.”

The only time I have come across something similar was when a young mother was dying as a result of a post partum haemorrhage and suddenly the labour ward filled with male elders from the church which forbids a life saving blood transfusion to make sure she wasn't "coerced" into a deathbed change of mind.

Creepy. Cult. Two words among others that spring to mind

RedToothBrush · 08/04/2019 11:46

Sitting in the waiting room during appointments whilst also claiming that they do not put pressure on medics and create a culture of fear nor do they actively influence children is bullshit.

It does not fit with information consent without duress and Mermaids denial of duress.

I have purchased a copy of the times together with a bag of monster munch.

Some parts of the reports are horrific. The lesbians who find themselves popular by becoming trans

This observation and concern was made by a teacher who whistleblew last year serious Safeguarding & Duty of Care concerns about the 'grooming' of vulnerable pupils, many of whom were also vulnerable having ASD and/or MH issues:

November 2018 Mail on Sunday article by Sanchez Manning,
'School has SEVENTEEN children changing gender as teacher says vulnerable pupils are being 'tricked' into believing they are the wrong sex'

(extract)
"The teacher, who has her own child, also believes many of those who say they are the wrong sex are simply gay but would face bullying if they were to ‘come out’. By contrast, she says, transgender children at the school are idolised by other pupils.

She has also raised concerns that many teachers are now too scared to challenge students’ claims they are transgender because they fear being sacked or sued for being transphobic.

The 17 pupils now identifying as transgender are following in the footsteps of a teenager who has now left the school and is planning a double mastectomy." (continues)

‘That child was diagnosed as autistic at the age of 14 and certainly was not transgender,’ she said. ‘She had other complicated mental health problems. It is a tragedy her claim was accepted so readily. Now she is going to mutilate her body.’

Over the next four years, the 17 pupils who have ‘come out’ as transgender have become powerful within the school, Carol says.

They wear identical clothing and hairstyles and often adopt the names of transgender YouTube stars. She has also witnessed first-hand how older pupils have persuaded younger ones with autism that they, too, were born the wrong sex – a process she has likens to ‘grooming’.

‘They are just young people with mental health problems who have found an identity and want to be part of a group of like-minded people,’ she said." (continues)

I think it would be a very good idea if all our public services, public institutions and private corporations who have received or are planning to receive "education and training" from Mermaids, Gendered Intelligence, GIRES, TELI, ATH, Stonewall etc abandoned it all now.

We all know this "education and training" programme is grossly misrepresenting the law and is misrepresenting biological facts.

Datun · 08/04/2019 11:54

Sitting in the waiting room during appointments whilst also claiming that they do not put pressure on medics and create a culture of fear nor do they actively influence children is bullshit.

As is telling Pride they will refuse to attend their march unless women saying they are female homosexuals are banned outright.

Susie Green needs to be publicly asked what she thinks a lesbian actually is, and then watch her deny the inherent homophobia in her approach.

Callmejudith · 08/04/2019 11:54

The comments on the first article are amazing

CaveMum · 08/04/2019 11:57

Can I suggest that everyone with school age children have a look at their school’s safeguarding policy on their website. I noted a while back that my child’s school has links to GI and Mermaids, etc but was unsure how to go about raising it without sounding reactionary. However the publication of these articles gives me (and others) the perfect opportunity to email the head of safeguarding under the guise of “I’ve seen these articles and am concerned that x school have subscribed to the ideology”.

R0wantrees · 08/04/2019 11:59

Mermaids published their reponses to Lucy Bannerman's questions a few days ago including:
2)
(extract)
"The aims of bringing families and young people together are to reduce isolation and loneliness and create a sense of community for people who are dealing with very difficult circumstances. Mermaids does not tell people what to say or do, we provide information and resources only."

It's inevitable that there will be (a flood of?) complaints to IPSO. It's going to be interesting to see what they rule and how it gets reported.

GerryblewuptheER · 08/04/2019 12:02

Funny how literally no one will answer that question. With the definition of homosexuality being altered . I still hear the voice of that mermaids trainer in the session that was recorded and put on line. " if you girl who identifies as a boy and you are attracted to girls. You are straight" couldn't be clearer its conversion therapy fir gay and lesbian children.

Why arent people tackling the homophobic bullying the way they are tackling the affirmation of trans kids

R0wantrees · 08/04/2019 12:03

It may be more effective to ask Heads & Governors to withdraw /suspend any involvement oruse of resources from Mermaids, GIRES, Gendered Intelligence etc in light of the Safeguarding & Duty of Care concerns raised by senior medical professionals until further investigations have been satisfactorily concluded.

Good point R0wan, I’m going to take a few days to formulate my letter seeing as it won’t be seen until after the holidays now.

Yes .. not forgetting the Allsorts guidance in our schools, which is truly alarming.

boatyardblues · 08/04/2019 12:09

I have purchased a copy of the times together with a bag of monster munch.

I also purchased a copy today, the first hard copy newspaper I’ve bought in about 2 years, but went with Walkers pulled pork special edition for the crisps.

Why arent people tackling the homophobic bullying the way they are tackling the affirmation of trans kids

I feel the same way, Gerry.

It would be a very fast track method of making people see the problem.

Everyone knows what Stonewall is, right? It's an advocacy group for lesbians and gays. Who invented the now universal mantra, Born This Way .

Except it's now the opposite.

And that one, single question would expose it all.

Was it Fox or Owl who called homosexuality deviant on one of the mermaids promotional videos? A video which has since been erased from the internet.

That one, single question would make the general public think what the fuck. And every homosexual, who isn't at the coalface of this, wake up.

And contact OFSTED re safeguarding if the response isn't satisfactory. Remember one safeguarding error means an automatic Special Measures.

Datun · 08/04/2019 12:20

If mermaids are so keen to issue a statement after every question asked by a journalist, the journalists all need to ask the same, single question.

Let's hear it. Let's hear the wholesale erasure of every homosexual in the country.

HawkeyeInConfusion · 08/04/2019 12:21

Thank you The Times.

I have bought a hard copy today. The first time I've bought a national newspaper in many years.

I winced slightly at the cost, but I'd pay a hundred times that to protect vulnerable children from predatory organisations intent on using them to bolster their own ideology or validate their own choices.

No Monster Munch sadly.

RedToothBrush · 08/04/2019 12:22

It's inevitable that there will be (a flood of?) complaints to IPSO. It's going to be interesting to see what they rule and how it gets reported.

Bring it on.

I can tell you damn well how that one will play out.

Relevant government publication today on online harms. Since part of the increase in referrals etc is likely to be due to information DC find online.
