Hi I'm a long time lurker, who read with disgust the last thread and wants to send , to caro. I've scanned since last thread finished for new one but no luck! Hope no one minds if I start one!

Still hmmmm about this. I would find it very hard to trust and believe them. Leopards and sports and all that. Have they contacted the police - would they tell them who was involved and give a statement?

Caroline, it is very big of you to forgive this person. That is much more than they deserve. You are a lovely woman, and you don't deserve any of this abuse. Nobody does, actually.

Caroline is a Christian and, whilst some slate her for that, forgiveness is part of her faith. As commendable as I find it, I'm not sure it's in my heart to be quite so magnanimous to anyone putting me through the shit that she and her family are going through, regardless of their backstory.

It’s up to you Caroline but I wouldn’t trust their apology personally. Be careful is all I’d say.

Last night I was approached via DM on FB by someone claiming to be behind some of the abuse.

I guess it may be genuine remorse. On the other hand the skeptic in me wonders whether whoever set up the abusive account registered with details which, with the help of a court order, could identify them?

AF am also confused by this - I've lost track somewhere.

I’d not engage with this person further nor discuss publically what was said. It just doesn’t smell right.

Caro is nice. I am extremely nice but very realistic. People stink, they really do.

I suspect they are gaslighting her - like mean girls at achool who set up the plain girl to turn up for a supposed blind date with the high achool heartthrob and arrive to laugh at her when she is stood up.

If they suggest a meeting, or send anything edible, for gods sake don’t do it.

I note that friend Steph is tweeting about grey rocks and Rose wine. I hope that this does not mean that Rose of Dawn has been added to the list along with Caro and Posie. People should not be penalised (not really the right verb) for speaking out honestly and according to their own conscience.

There were more golfing references between Steph and Harrop yesterday. Seems a bit odd given the legal action to keep making jokes about it but I guess that's just the arrogance of them.
