In today's Sunday Times, Rod Liddle states of Susie Green:
"My own view is that she should be in prison for child abuse and assault."

(don't know how to do share tokens, sorry)

And Rod refers to SG's child using XY pronouns! (Sorry, not sure if I am allowed to even state the pronouns Rod used?)

The fact that The Times printed a direct example of misgendering should be interesting... they do usually refer to trans people by their preferred pronouns.

I wonder if Rod will be the next to get a phone call?

Interesting column by Rod Liddle but transgender is not an issue of "sexuality" but of "sex".

I thought he was being rather restrained this week.

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 24/03/2019 08:05

Astonishing move! Still I don't like some of the friends we are forced to have...

Oh, and thank you to Betsy for sharing.

BetsyM00 · 24/03/2019 08:38

I think saying 'sexuality' was quite deliberate Astonished, in order to point to the number of young girls who may be lesbians being transed instead.

Popchyk · 24/03/2019 08:53

I also think sexuality was deliberately used.

And he's right. Many of the children who are now identifying as transgender would otherwise grow up as adults to be gay or lesbian. Stonewall are cheering on this gay conversion therapy.

Be interesting to see Susie Green's reaction from here.

TowelNumber42 · 24/03/2019 08:57

I cannot wait to see this argued out in court. Was it truth or libel to accuse Green of child abuse. This was no accidental publication by an overworked editor. The lawyers must believe it will stand up in court.

rocketromano · 24/03/2019 08:59

Wow spot on. I think the more times transgender people are referred to by their actual sex the harder it is for people to accuse others of misgendering. Let’s hope other papers follow suit

AstonishedFemalePersonator · 24/03/2019 09:00

Ah. Thanks, Betsy. I hadn't thought about it that way.

AstonishedFemalePersonator · 24/03/2019 09:01

And thank you to Popchyk. It's just that I saw Betsy's comment first.

StephsCaddy · 24/03/2019 09:01

I’d imagine that the Sunday Times has the best lawyers that money can afford. I wonder if Susie Green will be phoning one of her police officer chums? Some how I doubt it.

BigGreenOlives · 24/03/2019 09:02

He’s been very careful to state ‘My own view...’ so not the paper’s editorial policy or those of its proprietor. As, quite rightly FGM, is illegal & it is illegal to take a child overseas for an illegal surgery has SG never been charged for treatment of Jackie? Quite bizarre.

HandsOffMyRights · 24/03/2019 09:06

We see you, Susie. The nation sees you. What's your next move?

Karwomannghia · 24/03/2019 09:09

Shame he goes on to bemoan women presenters.

TowelNumber42 · 24/03/2019 09:09

She's in a bind here. Take action and get the full public gaze on what you did. Or do nothing which empowers journalists to say even more.

If she genuinely believes she did the right thing then maybe she will take it to court. I do hope so.

TimeLady · 24/03/2019 09:10

Thank you, Rod Brew

Popchyk · 24/03/2019 09:14

I liked Liddle's description of Rachel McKinnon, transgender cyclist, in the Speccy a while back.

www.spectator.co.uk/2018/10/good-news-now-everyone-can-be-a-victim/

"Rachel McKinnon also identifies as a ‘doctor’, having completed a PhD in Specious Twattery at some dimbo college in Canada".

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 24/03/2019 09:15

This makes me so happy Grin

Do you think Susie will be sending her minions after Rob? Nope, me neither, she saves her bully tactics for women.

I see you Susie 👀 and I tell everyone about what you did to your child and not one person I’ve spoken to doesn’t agree that you should at a minimum be removed from any position near our children.

AstonishedFemalePersonator · 24/03/2019 09:28

"Rachel McKinnon also identifies as a ‘doctor’, having completed a PhD in Specious Twattery at some dimbo college in Canada".

That made me laugh.

LangCleg · 24/03/2019 09:41

Journalists do not like other journalists being subjected to attempts at state censorship on behalf of lobby groups.

I predict more gloves coming off.

AstonishedFemalePersonator · 24/03/2019 09:42

Good.

"Rachel McKinnon also identifies as a ‘doctor’, having completed a PhD in Specious Twattery at some dimbo college in Canada".

Brilliant! 😄
