Peyton Rose’s Twitter has now disappeared.

Bloody hell! I thought that one was going to get away with it!

It was one of the examples of inequity I used with a friend today when talking about recent court cases against women and transwomen for transphobia.

“Police in Edinburgh have charged a 27-year-old woman in connection with a communications offence following a threat being made on social media, which was reported to police on Tuesday March 19. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.” I think they may need to re-write that, though!

Now that’s karma!

Lymphy I was just on Glinners twitter looking at this and about to put up a post! What poster was it that said about mumsnetters pressure checking, on the hour every hour?
This is good news, and shows that these organisations know how far is too far.

Apparently the twitter account has been suspended by peyton themselves, so not suspended by twitter not sure how accurate that is though

This is great news.
Maybe the police in the area of the student who posted on the 'transphobic academics' list that she wants to know where the gender critical academics are so she can drop kick them, can take a leaf out of their book.

About time too. Let’s hope it’s just the beginning of people being held to account for threats against women.

Threats of violence (the actual real kind) should always been taken seriously.

BixBeiderbecke no apologies needed at all! I mean TWO organisations taking action on violence towards women! That’s pipe dream stuff right there!

The tweet was actual, bona fide, incitement to violence. This would be my personal line on the extent of free speech.

I don't know the equivalent offence in Scotland, but to me, in England & Wales, this should not be charged as Malicious Communication but as Encouraging or assisting a crime (Serious Crime Act).
