I was puzzled by that. As far as I could see people were commenting on a public figure who had made public comments.

I'm puzzled that the first thread was taken down too. The comments we're about statements made in an interview published in a national newspaper. None of the comments seemed especially inflammatory.

Sam Smith has a unique voice (also aided by the vocal chords operation which turned successful as his voice was going more masculine) but I lost all respect for him when he said he wrote some songs after his lover left him and the lover turned out to be a guy who was actually involved (or about to marry a woman). Sam Smith said 'thank you for making me write all those sad songs that got me these awards'!!!
