A timely, if incredibly worrying reminder, that we should view all stories about minorities from our press with extreme skepticism. I hope this is the only fabricated inflammatory anti-trans story our press has published, it would be awful if the debate regarding trans rights was being used as cover by bigots to spread anti-trans hatred.

This story, as we know, has been around for quite some time. Yet Huntley - who will have known this story was going around - waited until very recently indeed to say it was not true (coincidentally the announcement was made just after the news came out that TW sex offenders weren't getting placed in women's prisons any more).

I therefore conclude that one of the following is the case with Huntley:

  1. He was claiming to be trans to get into the female estate and once he found out it was never going to happen decided to refute the claim or
  1. He knew it wasn't true but enjoyed the notoriety, being a psychopath murderer and so allowed it to trundle on, getting a real buzz out of scaring women.

Both!

Whether this is true or not it has caused a lot of people to nail their colours to the mast.

There was a documentary about Soham last year, and they mention the trans claim to I think the police detective who investigated Huntley, and he said Huntley lied constantly about everything so he could totally believe it.

I am sure there is nothing in the timing of this, just as it has been announced that men will be put in separate units if they declare themselves trans, rather than going into the female estate. Suspect 'Lian' is being laid to rest as quickly as possible.

It made sense that Huntley was a transvestite; it's a paraphilia that comes in some cases with others, including paedophilia. The violent autogynophile isn't just a fictional trope. Several serial killers, including Ed Gein, Richard Speck, Donna Perry & Beate Schmidt are trans. A quick google will offer a wellspring of news reports on crossdressers who commit sexual offences. It's funny how so many victims are female. Gender fluidity isn't something applied to their victims.

It's entirely possible that the tabloids, knowing what they're like, made up this sensationalist story about proven liar and psychopathic child-killer Ian Huntley.

Then again, it's also entirely possible that proven liar and psychopathic child-killer Ian Huntley was fully intending to fake being 'trans' in order to gain access to a women's prison, but is now frantically backpedalling because someone has had a quiet word and told him he'll never get away with it.

It's also possible that proven liar and psychopathic child-killer Ian Huntley knew it was made-up all along but rather enjoyed letting the story have traction so he could feel as if he was manipulating people from the comfort of his cell.

It doesn't automatically mean that we have to believe the word of proven liar and psychopathic child-killer Ian Huntley. And even if this story about proven liar and psychopathic child-killer Ian Huntley is not true, it doesn't automatically mean every other story about men going 'trans' in order to gain access to women's prisons is fake, much as the woketastic would love to believe it does.

If it is untrue, of course, it does make the wokeadelics on Twitter who rushed to the visible support of proven liar and psychopathic child-killer Ian Huntley ('Her name is Lian, don't deadname her, don't misgender her, wah wah'') look at best misguided and at worst really, really fucking stupid.

Just to check - it's still OK to refer to him as 'proven liar and psychopathic child-killer Ian Huntley' without being pulled up by the MN guidelines, I hope?

I mean, he is a proven liar and psychopathic child-killer, but you never know, these days.
