Shark/Fanny

I'm not really aware of your situation but are you getting any support/legal advice/financial help for legal fees?

If not and you need any assistance please just ask.

ChattyLion · 05/02/2019 16:08

Jesus, Shark. Flowers

WokerThanWoke · 05/02/2019 16:10

WTF Shark, that is insane.

Flowers
HelenaDove · 05/02/2019 16:34

"how many other minority groups can get the cops making visits for a word over non criminal, factual statements"

Actually i remember a disability blogger getting a police visit a few years back......

Floomph · 05/02/2019 16:44

Shark Shock I'm so sorry. How incredibly shit. That sounds so inappropriate

HelenaDove · 05/02/2019 16:47

Shark that is horrifying.

IStillMissBlockbuster · 05/02/2019 18:08

Fucking hell shark! I am outraged on your behalf. Have you solicited legal advice? I am sure we as a collective could contribute towards financial support required to do so.

Bowlofbabelfish · 05/02/2019 18:34

Reading that mail piece, there is absolutely no doubt at all that the editorial stance is gender critical. Grin

It’s an absolute disgrace that our stretched police forces are being told to persue this. It can only undermine public confidence in the police, and that’s not a good thing.

Bowlofbabelfish · 05/02/2019 18:35

And shark I am horrified by what happened to you. Best wishes and strength - and if there’s a crowdfunder for costs please do let us know.

WichBitchHarpyTerfThatsMe · 05/02/2019 19:27

Ditto what others are saying shark and if you need financial support for legal costs please let us know.

ProfessoressWoland · 05/02/2019 19:30

Shark That's shocking, hope it gets sorted soon and yes, let us know if we can help.

The police really need to get a grip and work out why this shit keeps happening across the country. They are losing the public's trust by hounding people who have done nothing wrong.
And wtf has happened to Stonewall? Do they think this is ok?

frogintheTyne · 05/02/2019 19:45

Shark Flowers 💪

TimeLady · 05/02/2019 21:08

As hard as it is on the individual, it is through cases like Margaret's and Harry's becoming public that the trans BS ( to use Margaret's descriptor) will be exposed.

Keep plugging away, everyone; the message is getting through.

Procrastinator1 · 05/02/2019 21:17

Shark, hope you can counterclaim in the injunction proceedings.

coppercolouredtop · 05/02/2019 21:44

I'm glad Suffolk realised and righted this.

I'm a pc and this does trouble me. The issue now is police are used as tools in all manner of ways.

No longer a force , but a service and we cow tow to some proper idiots.

Does not sit right with me at all.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 06/02/2019 06:23

It’s in The Times now

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 06/02/2019 08:13

Sorry, not contacted by the police! Sussex police were tagged into a tweet calling the first tweet harassment - the police havent actually got involved in this one

Melroses · 06/02/2019 08:42

* Suffolk *

ALittleBitofVitriol · 06/02/2019 09:21

Wtaf shark!
That's horrendous!
I'm so sorry. I'm so angry. How are you managing? Anything we can do?

Have you spoken to your MP? If not, do so. Try to meet face to face with her/him.

Can you try the Police and Crime Commissioner for that police force also?

Do you have a solicitor? If not, then get one pronto. Crowdfund for legal fees.

Have you considered contacting a journalist? This is a hot topic at the moment and I reckon a few would be interested. If this went public on Twitter then, based on what has happened previously, the police would be forced into making a statement of some description - whether that is good or bad.

Thank you for highlighting the process. I am going to speak with a no win no fee solicitor who specialise in wrongful arrest. Sadly the experience has exacerbated my PND and it's starting to become less easy to cope with, really appreciate the support
