What we did was amazing. We pulled the GUardian, Parliament, the House of Lords, the media, out of a position they were determined to have, we changed the debate, we showed women were a political force, we acted, all over the country we acted. In different ways. We were bound by the GRA review and as soon as that was done it was evident that power relations had recreated within a social movement. Yes some people by reflex did things that they would always have done. Now we get to relearn and renegotiate power relations by saying we dont play the way media tribalists did. Whatever fall outs there have been were always going to hapen but we still did that. Thats why htis board is permanently monitored by nutcases and acually the power we demonstrated is directly at the root of the toxic fallouts and is a mark of success in itself. Political spectrum reforming within this movement is alright, but it probably pays to remember how amazing what we achieved was and letting that guide what we can achieve., We changed the conversation we can keep doing that. Easily. By having the conversation we want and not bowing to social media tribalism that hides all sorts of nasties and existing political orgs. And learning in a way they cant.

And we see you. We see yet another mob. A group of women shunning anyone who dares disagree with them. A group supporting someone seeking to destroy the 'we'. We see hypocrisy.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 29/01/2019 12:51

Awesome Specsavers will be pleased we can all see each other.

Oxytocindeficient · 29/01/2019 12:52

No, we don’t allow anyone us to bully or demand we respond in a certain way.

Your only purpose is to not allow women to speak about what they want to speak about. You are behaving in a disgusting manner.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 29/01/2019 12:53

A group of women shunning anyone who dares disagree with them

crikey

we're just asking you to stop hectoring and bullying. good heavens

although grey rock is looking like the way to go......

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 29/01/2019 12:55

Ha ha ha gee posted this to me You're making excuses, Ineedacupofteadesperately. Lisa was blogging even as she was on here last night. The link was posted. Would you like it posted again? I have a feeling you'd just find another excuse not to have to do the right thing and then immediately this directed at oxy It is not their right to seek to tone police and control other women's right to a voice and to thoughts and to opinions Seriously? You tell me I'm not doing the right thing then post that gem? BWAHAHAHA. Logic fail.

LangCleg · 29/01/2019 12:55

Judging by my PMs I am succeeding on that score at least.

That's what they all say, love. At least go for a new tactic.

R0wantrees · 29/01/2019 12:58

The rhetoric seems to be increasingly florid

In other news, The Times has covered the ReSisters dressed statues today. Comments under the line very positive and do not agree with Pink News that the T shirts are transphobic.

'Statues dressed in ‘transphobic’ T-shirts'
(extract)
"Statues of notable women have been dressed in T-shirts deemed “transphobic” by campaigners in a backlash against new gender laws.

Tributes to Mary Barbour, the Scottish political activist, in Govan, Winifred Rushforth, the Christian missionary, in George Square, Edinburgh, and Cilla Black, the singer and television presenter, in Liverpool were dressed in black T-shirts that read: “Woman. Noun. An adult human female.”

The UK-wide stunt marks many women’s groups’ dismay at proposed reforms to the Gender Recognition Act. These would enable people to self-identify as the gender they feel they are without a medical diagnosis. Some feminists have claimed this would encroach on women’s safety and privacy.

ReSisters United, the feminist campaign group, claimed responsibility for the display. The LGBT website Pink News described the perpetrators as “anti-transgender activists”." (continues)

This person has serious problems. This is insanity

Oxytocindeficient · 29/01/2019 12:59

Yup, I’m finally brave enough to by my own woman top, and my husband wants a man top too! So well done resisters! Great work.

I honestly think the best way to deal with anyone attempting to use this space to conduct some sort of personal vendetta is to just not engage.

PositivelyPERF · 29/01/2019 13:09

Just popped in to say good afternoon to the wonderful GC feminists, including Lisa. Any men creeping around here, pretending to be women can get away ta fuck. To use a local expression, Lisa, ‘keep her lite’. You don’t pronounce the ‘h’ in that. 😁

MsMcWoodle · 29/01/2019 13:10

Oh dear. Can't you get people to do what you want them to do Gee?
Why don't you stop trying to bully people into doing what you want and go and do something constructive?
I've written a letter to my MP while you've been at it. Go me!

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 29/01/2019 13:12

Well you are brilliant MrsM

R0wantrees · 29/01/2019 13:14

Yup, I’m finally brave enough to by my own woman top, and my husband wants a man top too! So well done resisters! Great work.

My Dad wants one. He's retired, not a feminist and is very cross about the manipulation, lack of critical thought & unfairness.

Bex Stinson (Head of Stonewall's Trans Inclusion) on Woman's Hour peaked him when Bex refused to be in the studio and discuss with Helen Lewis and Jane Garvey. His summary position 'Bloody ridiculous' !
He's currently very concerned about the NHS accomodation policies which claim to be single sex but are actually mixed sex.

Thank you very much Bernard

MsMcWoodle · 29/01/2019 13:27

oxy I would size up. It's not that I've got fat, honest.

Bubonicpanic · 29/01/2019 13:27

We see you

Well I'm openly posting here so it would be odd if you couldn't.

What do you see? Me engaging with Lisa about her blog? Me responding to her insults? She's called me a narc and delusional. I've simply stated that I think her terrible nonsense about Karen Ingala Smith is not in keeping with a celebration of our brilliance, in fact it is completely the opposite.

I am being told not to comment on a thread where a women is claiming to be part of the brilliance when in fact the nasty words she has used about Karen are beyond the pale.

No one is going to mention that though, that is forbidden to be spoken about?

Politelygiveszerofucks · 29/01/2019 13:27

I am pleased this thread is remaining.

OP posts a triumphant glory-hunting post despite doing terrible damage to those she claims to support. Is called on it and MN goes into collective meltdown and gaslighting,

I’d love to say we won, but while Humberside police are doubling down on Harry Miller and PC Plod spouting bollocks about brains growing the wrong bodies, it’s very far from over.

Coming on to MN crowing victory that fewer people than anticipated p t-shirts on statues because they were terrified of guilt by association and being called a racist and MNHQ has to fiddle with thread titles so they don’t get confused with the Judean People’s Front, seems hollow. Especially when you’ve been instrumental in undermining those at the forefront because they looked at you funny once.

MsMcWoodle · 29/01/2019 13:29

It's funny, isn't it? I would have thought that anyone who supports this movement would let us have a celebratory thread.

geeewhizz · 29/01/2019 13:30

Interesting you should post that, R0wantrees. So your dad was persuaded at least partly by the work of a journalist who is simultaneously being trashed by the OP right now and who has posted about the damage done to her reputation and therefore the work she is able to do because of OP never mind the distress she has endured. I'd say there's a conflict in your position.

Bubonicpanic · 29/01/2019 13:31

You are a grotesque parody of a human being and not fit to approach any of the women your obscene disgusting vanity has harmed in the last eight years. A cruel, sadistic, hollow shell of a woman.

This is Lisa's description of Karen Ingala-Smith, addressed to Karen, there online for all to see.

All of you celebrating this brilliance with Lisa. I can see this. But hey it's me you can see. Confused

PositivelyPERF · 29/01/2019 13:32

It's funny, isn't it? I would have thought that anyone who supports this movement would let us have a celebratory thread

Totally agree. It’s almost as if the TRAs are getting nervous, so are trying to divide us, by attacking from the inside. But surely they can’t be frightened of a few females? Confused Grin
