Sorry but "Creepy"? CREEPY?! What an odd choice of words. I'd say it's more creepy to be desperate to access to womens spaces but that's just me.

Does he not realise that this is about womens safety? These people are so clueless.

Firstly, what aggressive transphobia do they mean? Do they know about the proposed changes to the GRA which will allow anyone to change their legal recorded sex, whether they are trans or not, by removing the requirement for Gender Dysphoria diagnosis and other safeguards, and have they reflected in the many consequences of that. This is what seemed to start the row. Plus trans activists that have been violent, or threatening, if you don't adopt all their language or ideology, and if you disagree with something, especially when you have facts and they're chatting shi t. Do they mean being alarmed by the violent tweets on terfisaslur.com such as the ones about ripping out women's ovaries, the baseball bats wrapped in barbed wire, the t shirts with fake blood stating "punch terfs", the jackets and other merch stating "die cis scum". Do they mean concerns about Mermaids due to their own statements, and lack of SG 's biological/psychological expertise, and the concerns stated from that Judge in court to keep that kid out of contact from them (court found the mother was trying to trans her son, he was taken from her care, like now lives with the father and is a happy boy. Mermaids still released a statement that the kid was trans), or Mermaids lobbying to get surgery or hormones for younger kids (who may just be gender-nonconforming), as the stuff I've seen on them follows gender stereotypes such as what toys kids play with, and was it them who had that terrible G.I. Joe vs Princess Barbie gender identity thing?, or that they recommended a doctor who has now been found guilty of running an illegal sex change clinic and prescribing cross-sex hormones to children who the nhs 'refused ' to 'treat' (why did the nhs refuse? did the nhs not think the child was trans?) as young as 12, which is against the law here. Do they mean being against Stonewall's expanded trans umbrella, which states "cross-dressers", "masculine women" and "feminine men" as transgender, along with actual trans people, and which some trans people are unhappy about? Do they mean we are against transing kids who are simply gender-nonconforming and want safeguards to protect that. That we are concerned about the social contagion we see amongst kids? That we are concerned about the NHS data showing an extremely high number of kids referred to the Gender Clinic are autistic/have autistic traits? Why might that be? That we are concerned about those AGP men who are claiming to be transgender but have a sexual fetish? That we are concerned about people like JY? What else, could go on but it's late. This is not transphobia.
I feel like the UK is and has been more liberal about men and women not conforming to their gender stereotypes.
And men cross dressing, men and women 'gender bending' been happening for decades. America is more conservative with this stuff. America seems to want to make all of these people trans. In the UK they were still called men, like Boy George. Actual trans people, or transsexuals as they used to be called have also been accepted here for a long time. Gender Dysphoria diagnosis is necessary as is education on the difference between sex and gender. They claim to know it, but seem not to. Gender is a social construct, we have a patriarchal society, which forces stereotypes and norms onto each sex. That should be rejected, not conformed to. I actually saw tweets and video from Americans saying sex is a social construct. They are so mixed up. Munroe is British and she said gender critical feminists were not feminists. Feminism is gender critical and always has been, that's the point. It critiques gender/gender stereotypes forced upon us because of our sex. She's mixed up and using wrong words, i'd rather her say terfs.

Oh yes, dear old creepy, period perving, tween leching JY

ChattyLion · 22/01/2019 03:41

Never heard of this authoritarian little twerp before but why is he going out of his way to minimise and trying to shame-silence women's concerns? I mean.. what would be a man’s motivation for doing that?

I’m confused why this male journalist can’t see that he’s just another sexist ignorant mansplainer telling women what to do and that they have to shut up if they don’t agree?

And btw, does he include trans people in his dating pool? Obviously he must do, if he says that anyone who cares about what’s in another person’s pants is so ‘creepy’? Hmm

Or (cynical me..) perhaps HE is allowed to care what’s in people’s pants and that’s his prerogative.. but if WOMEN care about this (when it affects our safety, privacy and dignity, opportunities, rights, obligations- not just who we want to shag..) then women are wrong and ‘creepy’ to protest about this and we must be silenced?

KindOfAGeek · 22/01/2019 03:42

What's creepy is how invested men and TW are in proving the misogyny that has discriminated against women for 1000's of years doesn't exist.

It's all because women like pink, apparently. No, it's not that men see women solely as purveyors of sex, offspring and free household labor, and who need to be kept in their place as such, it's all because we're "girly".

KindOfAGeek · 22/01/2019 04:09

OMG, I just read some of the twitter comments. They just mentioned British "love of drag" as a reason why the "transphobia" is perplexing.

The drag I've seen is either misogynistic, as performed by gay men, or transphobic, as performed by straight men.

AugustL · 22/01/2019 04:34

Yes it was reported that 2 thirds of girls referred to gender clinic in UK were autistic/had autistic traits. The UK Government wanted to do/is doing an inquiry into that, and trans activists said that was transphobic.

The Government also wanted to do/are doing an inquiry into the huge rise in children wanting to transition lately, looking at social media influence, and the teaching of transgender issues in schools.
www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2018/09/16/minister-orders-inquiry-4000-per-cent-rise-children-wanting/
I wonder how they will conduct this inquiry, especially relating to social media. If they have a call for evidence, I'm sure there's a lot of stuff people can send in.

AugustL · 22/01/2019 04:52

Drag is not the same, as trans at all Grin Those are men dressing up as a performance for fun, they are men, they know they're men, they don't affect us or kids in any way (except those two drag kids in America or Canada, some reports about what those two are exposed to is worrying) How can they say that tweet, tying to say drag is the same as trans is surely transphobic.

I think some think we are like conservatives who want men to stay with all the 'masculine ' stuff, and women to stay with all the 'feminine ' stuff. Men and women should be able to wear, like, play with, do whatever they want regardless of if society claims it's 'for men' or 'for women', whilst remaining men or women, without changing their sex. Don't conform to gender roles or stereotypes. Of course there are trans people who have Gender Dysphoria who have severe distress or discomfort about the sex of their body, and need to transition, which I respect.

AugustL · 22/01/2019 04:55

"Men and women should be able to wear, like, play with, do whatever they want regardless of if society claims it's 'for men' or 'for women', whilst remaining men or women, without changing their sex. Don't conform to gender roles or stereotypes. "

*I should have said girls and boys too

AngryAttackKittens · 22/01/2019 05:09

"Sexist man finds the idea that sometimes women have minds of their own scary and aggressive, considers the possibility that not every woman is eager to engage with any penis that happens to appear in her space at any given moment creepy. Sexist man is sad, needs ice cream and blankie to feel better."

MsTSwift · 22/01/2019 07:01

We can see what you are trying to do little faux wide eyed creepy journalist man

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 22/01/2019 08:07

Another example of a man who claims to be trans in order to gain access to children: Stephonknee Wolnisch (not sure how the last name is spelt), who claims to be an eight year-old girl. And Challoner Sr, who dressed as a little girl while torturing and sexually assaulting a genuine little girl.

deepwatersolo · 22/01/2019 08:24

Well, this journalist simply has this reflex you will often (not always) find in ejaculators, to side with other ejaculators. Chromosomes are thicker than fabrics, so to speak, and he instinctively understands that people like Bergdorff are fellow ejaculators*.

(Please note that my wording is absolutely consistent with the wording of womensmarch london and, just like the women's march london, aims for inclusivity.)

nauticant · 22/01/2019 09:41

Although people are posting "... but don't they know that ...?" have a look at this guy's tweets. Every time someone asks something inconvenient the response seems to be some variation on "not true", "don't care", "bigotry", or "colonialism".

There is no point trying to engage with people who are so determined to be brain-washed. In fact, whose identity comes from that.

andyoldlabour · 22/01/2019 09:54

Didn't know where to post, but has anyone seen this?

AngryAttackKittens · 22/01/2019 10:05

Another day, another random with drawn on eyebrows shouting at women on the internet.

deepwatersolo · 22/01/2019 10:06

Didn't know where to post, but has anyone seen this?

This is silly. No idea who the Twitter account is, but if you are not allowed to post Kiwifarm links about that presumable ejaculator, then, what links are you allowed to post about any person? This is silly posturing imo.

deepwatersolo · 22/01/2019 10:11

The funny part of it is: For all I see this joker is legally threatening MumsnetHQ for linking to Kiwinet, not Kiwinet for the content itelf. This is 'Hitler's mum is at fault' type of stuff. Not that blaming women for everything would be a particularly novel approach.

FloralBunting · 22/01/2019 10:14

Hahaha. That's cute. So the plan is to get MNHQ to prevent links to kiwifarms because there's some nasty people there who dox people who they deem worth keeping tabs on?

If this happens, will MNHQ apply an 'even handed' rule update like they did with 'TIM' and 'CIS', and ban the shit out of Twitter links, seeing as so many of the toads that squat on that particular lilypad also love a bit of doxxing action, and even go far as blackmail?

AngryAttackKittens · 22/01/2019 10:17

See, again, all this does is make me wonder why so many people are so desperate to wipe all evidence of Yaniv's perving on children activities from the internet.

deepwatersolo · 22/01/2019 10:21

This seems to be about the Gamer who raises money for Mermaids by gaiming, Angry. Didn't know they were a cow on kiwifarms. But yeah, never forget tamponcrazy Yaniv Waxmyballs.

nauticant · 22/01/2019 10:21

So much of this stuff looks like people having a sustained grievance against their mum. And then extending that to apply to mums in general.

AngryAttackKittens · 22/01/2019 10:27

It is all a bit "mum wouldn't let me paint my room black when I was 13 and by god older women as a group will pay!"

(And then they take their washing home for mum to do at the weekend.)

KatherinaMinola · 22/01/2019 10:28

Can someone explain what kiwifarms is? I'm wary of Googling.

ALittleBitofVitriol · 22/01/2019 10:31

Yep. It's mumsnet for mums. Not a huddle of mums, ready and waiting with a coddle and a cuddle for any poor misunderstood boys who have inadvertently wandered away from their precious porn. We don't play your whore/Madonna game.
