Firstly, what aggressive transphobia do they mean? Do they know about the proposed changes to the GRA which will allow anyone to change their legal recorded sex, whether they are trans or not, by removing the requirement for Gender Dysphoria diagnosis and other safeguards, and have they reflected in the many consequences of that. This is what seemed to start the row. Plus trans activists that have been violent, or threatening, if you don't adopt all their language or ideology, and if you disagree with something, especially when you have facts and they're chatting shi t. Do they mean being alarmed by the violent tweets on terfisaslur.com such as the ones about ripping out women's ovaries, the baseball bats wrapped in barbed wire, the t shirts with fake blood stating "punch terfs", the jackets and other merch stating "die cis scum". Do they mean concerns about Mermaids due to their own statements, and lack of SG 's biological/psychological expertise, and the concerns stated from that Judge in court to keep that kid out of contact from them (court found the mother was trying to trans her son, he was taken from her care, like now lives with the father and is a happy boy. Mermaids still released a statement that the kid was trans), or Mermaids lobbying to get surgery or hormones for younger kids (who may just be gender-nonconforming), as the stuff I've seen on them follows gender stereotypes such as what toys kids play with, and was it them who had that terrible G.I. Joe vs Princess Barbie gender identity thing?, or that they recommended a doctor who has now been found guilty of running an illegal sex change clinic and prescribing cross-sex hormones to children who the nhs 'refused ' to 'treat' (why did the nhs refuse? did the nhs not think the child was trans?) as young as 12, which is against the law here. Do they mean being against Stonewall's expanded trans umbrella, which states "cross-dressers", "masculine women" and "feminine men" as transgender, along with actual trans people, and which some trans people are unhappy about? Do they mean we are against transing kids who are simply gender-nonconforming and want safeguards to protect that. That we are concerned about the social contagion we see amongst kids? That we are concerned about the NHS data showing an extremely high number of kids referred to the Gender Clinic are autistic/have autistic traits? Why might that be? That we are concerned about those AGP men who are claiming to be transgender but have a sexual fetish? That we are concerned about people like JY? What else, could go on but it's late. This is not transphobia.
I feel like the UK is and has been more liberal about men and women not conforming to their gender stereotypes.
And men cross dressing, men and women 'gender bending' been happening for decades. America is more conservative with this stuff. America seems to want to make all of these people trans. In the UK they were still called men, like Boy George. Actual trans people, or transsexuals as they used to be called have also been accepted here for a long time. Gender Dysphoria diagnosis is necessary as is education on the difference between sex and gender. They claim to know it, but seem not to. Gender is a social construct, we have a patriarchal society, which forces stereotypes and norms onto each sex. That should be rejected, not conformed to. I actually saw tweets and video from Americans saying sex is a social construct. They are so mixed up. Munroe is British and she said gender critical feminists were not feminists. Feminism is gender critical and always has been, that's the point. It critiques gender/gender stereotypes forced upon us because of our sex. She's mixed up and using wrong words, i'd rather her say terfs.
